I condensed it for the submissions forms, but is anyone aware of an actual email address I could send this to?
Wow.. pretty unreal. I'm glad I stopped doing wildgrass a month ago. The ridiculous thing is it's now probably safer to buy gil than make your own by gardening.
Nice one, SE.
ps. Does anyone actually give a shit about RMT anymore? I mean this isn't 2005 is it? I for one would rather they drop the whole crusade and stop permanent bannings altogether, RMT or not.
That 100 word limit is probably something you should follow. This whole post could've been:
"Hay SE, you're banning alot of false positives. wtf"
No one wants to read the rest of this banal sermon about customer support.
I'm sure that "U DUMIEZ FIX DIZ" has been done to death, if you want to grab attention you need to spell it out in no uncertain terms, and there is a bit of emotion that goes along with this. It made me feel good, and it seems to have been enjoyed by a few others. If YOU don't want to read something that long, then don't read it, the last paragraph gives the gist of what my feelings are about the whole situation.
There are plenty of other players (like myself) who have multiple gardening mules growing wildgrass seeds but are still playing the game.
Criticizing a poorly written (and tl;drish) OP is hardly trolling an information request. I certainly fucking hope advanced hasn't turned into a place where twats like you call for mods like elementary school kids call for hall monitors, or that this place doesn't have standards for an OP anymore.
With all the emails sent to SE each week, there's absolutely no reason SE would continue to read after the second paragraph of the OP's letter. There's absolutely too much unnecessary material and it makes a very indirect point. Moreover, even people that do read this only realize that it is in relation to the gardening bans. Clear, concise, and to the point is the best approach if you want a company's attention.
The very first line makes the OP come off as arrogant and ignorant. No individual has the right to speak for the entire community "here" (Whatever "here" refers to). The last few paragraphs about personal feelings are unimportant. As I mentioned earlier, the OP can condense this entire piece in order to appear less arrogant, and make a clear and direct assertion.
As for the trolling bit, I believe he was simply suggesting that the OP should condense this piece since realistically, it's not going to garner attention. Also, MODs have stated that "Old Advanced" comments can continue in threads that would be considered "Old Advanced" threads. Whether or not this qualifies is unknown since the thread itself shouldn't qualify to begin with. Only a MOD can determine that.
It's been brought to my attention that what Yugl says is true (thank you for stating it in a polite manner) My intention wasn't to try to speak for the community at large, but to try and explain what I've seen from others and experienced myself over the years by bringing up the latest in the string of events that cause myself and others to feel jaded. As tends to be my style I went overboard in doing so and inadvertently made claims that I had no business assuming people wanted to be made, I apologize for that. I'm glad that some folks feel better after reading it, but my initial goal was to warn SE against continuing on the path they are currently treading, if that got clouded by the emotion I put into the OP I again am sorry for that, it wasn't my intention.
can I get the tl;dr version of this?it hurts my eyes to read
I don't hate SE, I don't speak for the community, I do however believe from both a personal and objective point of view (depending on whose experiences I'm gathering information and opinions from) that we desperately need an open line of communication between the company and their customers, and I don't believe that we have one currently. Too much division between the sections of SE, too little information passed to their customers.
It seems to me SE is trying to intentionally piss of it's FFXI playerbase so they have good cause to shut down the servers so they can focus on FFXVI, but that's just my insane babble.
I've been doing this shit on 16 mules for a long ass time now and am not banned. Making me paranoid and shit.
I've done this for a well now and only one of my pure gardening accounts was hit...but it has me scared for my mains...but this is utter bs. The way SE is lumping us in with rmt...I mean can't they see account is on a CC that pays for another account that isn't banned...or that the account is on their damn token? ffs SE come on..
So we can establish a pattern.. Everyone that was hit used multiple accounts? This would mean it's still safe to use your main account with maxed out mules for now. Would appreciate some confirmation on this. Did anyone get hit with only one account?
