    Games for Windows LIVE keys

    I was wondering if any of you guys might know if this myth is true. I hear if you buy any game that supports GFWL and has a key, you can enter any key for any other game and it will work online. Is this true? If it is then I am really considering buy a copy of Shadow Run to play SF4, I really don't feel like paying for this game in full amount for a third time. If anyone knows or happens to have an extra key so they can try it out themselves, let me know please!

    Don't know about just using any old key since I would assume that each game/dev has its own encryption or whatnot to make sure a legit copy is registered.

    That said, have you tried hitting up your local game rental stores?
    Most of them over here use retail copies of games and leave the CD keys in for the PC ones.

    Yeah I am not too sure about that either. If I can't find SF4 for PC anywhere tomorrow, I am just gonna try it for the hell of it and I will let you all know.

    The last rental store in my town that had PC games shut down about 2 years back, it was a ma and pa sorta place. The selection was pretty terrible but it was still the only place I knew where you could rent PC games.

    Been playing SF4 online with a Fallout 3 key, so I imagine any other GFWL key would work.

    If they havent changed their ways, you could play online with more than one person using the same key. I and my bro played Gears of War for PC fine online together using my one copy.

    Well I almost got fucked over because it read INVALID CD KEY when I entered that piece of crap Shadow Run's lol. But lucky for me my friends were working and just put it out as defective and I got my refund. I ended up ordering it on Steam, does anyone else plan on getting it? Well I guess I should ask in the actual SFIV thread..
