Wow, I didn't think you would limp back into this thread after posting such a moronic appetizer for me to snack on as saying "no top ten fighters blah blah". You got heart kid.

He beasted on what was considered the best slugger of his time in his weight class at his own game then subbed him out with one of the more technical submissions you can pull to finish the fight.

He blew it because of a drug test obviously but to deny him that ass whopping he served up is really reaching for straws and we all know that.

Hardly any of them I consider a loss. Recordbooks or not. Noons got lucky on a cut and he ran like a pussy from Diaz because he knew he would have lost the rematch and rubber. For the rest of the "Decisions" that didn't favor Diaz, because face it unlike 95% of the rest of MMA world he RARELY wins via decision, well congratulations on laying on top of a guy for the whole fight.

Simple facts is he finishes fights, only really ever got his ass kicked once and he was like 17 or 18 then. Never submitted and loses only on close/bullshit decisions, or a lucky cut.

But the thing to remember is truly great fighters, namely top five p4p fighters find a way to win those fights(with the exception of the Noons fight.) That is why they are top five. Diaz is not top five p4p. He's nowhere even close. I'm not going to cut on EliteXC or Strikeforce because I think regardless of the brand, any company is going to try to put out good competitive fighters. So I can't buy into the if you're not in the UFC you're not as good argument. But the bottom line is that Diaz hasn't fought nearly enough top fighters to be even entered into the conversation of top five in his weightclass. Let alone top five pound for pound.

Let Diaz get some bigger names notched onto his post, then we can talk. Until then all he is to me is a highly skilled overhyped fighter whose record can't back up his mouth.
