Also the Sexyama fight was probably the most difficult to judge fight I've ever seen. I thought he definitely had round 2, but 1 and 3 were total tossups. Considering the scores were 30-27 Sexy, 29-28 Sexy, 28-29 NotSexy, I'd say the judges agreed.

The people saying Brock has no skill are quite simply uninformed about MMA. The guy has beaten Couture (he used his size to beat him?), Herring (positional control, including clinch) and Mir (takedown and brutal gnp?). Whether you like him or not, he's the real deal until someone get past him.

Are you guys kidding me? People claimed B.J. Penn simply wasn't used to his size, even posters in this thread, when he fought GSP. Anderson Silva mostly walks around at 200 when he fights but everyone knows GSP fighting him at 185 is dangerous until he bulks up a little more. Now think about it, that's just a 15~ pound difference in either scenario.

Now, the glaring problem with the heavyweight division is being exposed because it wasn't yet showing until someone like Lesnar came along. Yes, Lesnar is a very athletic 260+ pounder with a mediocre skill set. That's the problem, so much of Lesnar's credibility comes from his gargantuan size, fighting people 40-50 pounds under him, once you count re-hydrating, and basically manhandling them. Like I said, HW division is the only division that has to put up with this disparity in weight because a SHW just isn't feasible. This is pretty cut and dry, fan or not. What's there not to understand?

You're an idiot. Most of the big name guys get PPV cuts, it's nothing special to Lesnar. If Fedor wants to fight in the UFC he's going to have to drop the weird shit from his demands...like wanting to compete in Sambo matches during his reign...wanting the UFC to sign him THROUGH M1 Global...wanting his little brother to get a contract...etc. I love Fedor, but even he has said he doesn't know what he'd do with Brock. I bet Dana was fapping furiously when Brock flipped off the crowd and was talking mad shit (other than the Bud Light comment). Everyone is going to hate him so much that they'll buy up the PPVs just to hope to see someone put him in his place.

Edit: Even if they were to try and work out some kind of cross-promotion deal, I don't think Dana would ever let Brock fight Fedor. The potential downside outweighs the upside. They'll get, possibly, the highest rated fight in any combat sport since probably Tyson. If Brock wins, great, Brock is a fantastic heavyweight who just beat one of the best in the world. If he loses, Dana's star gets embarrassed and people talk about how watered down the UFC heavyweight division is. I don't know what it would do to Brock's PPV numbers, but it probably wouldn't help. I mean, I wouldn't send my cashcow to be potentially slaughtered.

I'll give it to Brock, he did what he does best. He used his size to pull out the win. The first round he laid on Mir and rained down those canned hams he calls fists. Brock did a good job of using his size and weight to stuff any escape attempt by Mir. The 2nd round, Mir got stupid and went for a flying knee and got thrown up against the fence, which is that last place you wanna be when you're giving up 40+ pounds.

Ya, I don't think Lesnar has any actual MMA skills at ALL. The guy goes in the ring, charges his opponents, and just throws a barrage of hammerfists and shit and thinks he's God's gift to fighting. Of course he's going to win, he's a brick shithouse. I was really hoping Mir was gonna take this one

I do think that Dana White has some pride, and hates that there's a huge block of Fedor-worshipping hardcore MMA fans out there that roll their eyes at whatever Dana's doing in the HW division because they don't think it matters without Fedor in there.

I know we've heard it before, but I do honestly believe Dana wants the Fedor/Lesnar fight. Hopefully Fedor will dominate Barnett (who may well be the #2 HW in the world right now) and continue to raise his stock, and the stakes of Fedor v. Lesnar, even higher.

^ this! about time someone that knows a bit about MMA chimes in. Lets face it Fedor is the man, but he and the UFC are a bit off on their contract ideas. Hell even Mark Cuban tried to facilitate a contract with them and they had even agreed to one in principle, then boom, Finkelstein comes in with something crazy and in classic Dana fashion he blows a gasket.

Henderson destroyed Bisping just as I expected. It was also the funniest KO thanks to a friend of mine who doesn't watch UFC:

GSP was textbook GSP so there isn't much to say...Always impressive. I did expect more aggression from Alves.

I was pretty impressed with how Lesnar handled Mir tbh. Mir can be dangerous on the ground but Lesnar held Mir's wrist and just pounded him until he couldn't take it anymore. Having said that I wish Lesnar would stop with the WWE antics(before/after fights). I stopped watching professional wrestling over a decade ago and I don't want to see that shit in the UFC.
