the correct answer ^
hell no
blue rare looks disgusting.
well done ftw.
might as well order a hamburger.
Should be a rare medium rare option, 62.5% red.
people who order a well done steak get the worst cut available at a restaurant.
as they should.
I'm sad, I'll eat medium rare or well done. Here's the thing - if you know what you're doing, you won't have a piece of shit steak, it won't be coarse or 'a waste' or overcooked. So many people think a porch grill qualifies as a BBQ but there's a difference.
Slow cooked meat is usually close to well done and some of the best meat on the planet, hands down(pro cooked, pulled pork, prime ribs, etc the shit that's on the grill for 13 hours for perfect internal temperature and moisture).
If you prefer the gamy taste of rare, you're eating the wrong meat. Medium rare is the lowest you should ever sear a steak. Admittedly, that's my preference or slightly closer to Medium, cause I hate it being too uncooked to cut or chew or be sanitary.
Anti, quit fagging up the manly thread.
if you know what you're doing, you aren't eating well done steak. statements to the contrary shall be treated as not knowing what you're doing. i will also look down upon the poster in a smug manner. they will also perhaps be called a philistine, a vagabond, and/or uncouth.
Medium Rare or you are a fag
This isn't even on topic and I know i made this topic so whatever, but retards, please stop posting kotaku or whatever links when they are just regurgitating something from the original link.
I don't mind cooking them up slightly higher then medium rare for people who like them that way.
Well done is just a preference, but you shouldn't try to cook both of them the same, if you're doing well done, cook it at a lower heat for a longer duration, don't blast it on the same searing heat you do your medium rare or you're going to dry that shit out. Grills will heat up even if your meat isn't directly over the flames, it'll still cook, and is less likely to burn from a flare-up.
actually i don't really care for steak or other slabs of meat on their own
I think i ask for medium-well though
I'm a medium kind of guy
