By far and large, if you get take away "gear scaling", Level Sync was an AMAZING addition to the game, and MMM is another mini-game (some people do enjoy Pankration and Chocobo Raising, but neither drop any real tangible rewards), but it does offer accessibility to good gear and experience rewards.
One could argue jettons = zeni = etc. etc. But arguing that route is a difficult one.
Marbles = Runes = Mazes dropping NM pops, clearly
I just really don't like Level Sync at all, and I only know 1 person who actually likes it. I think it promotes gimping yourself pre-75, people don't get a chance to learn how to use certain key spells and JAs for their job, and promotes camp crowding (as people will bypass entire camps to keep recamping good camps. Examples include: Valkurm, Qufim, the jungles, crawler's nest, and all colibri camps.). The only good thing about level sync, in my oppinion, is that we can skip over crab camps in Kuftal and Boyada completely. Even that I would be willing to give up if SE would just drop level sync or put a level range cap on it. Btw, I only don't mention skill up issues level sync causes because I'm not sure what effect the skill up improvements will have on this issue after the update.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not bitching about level sync, I'm just explaining the issues with it, and why I prefer not using it.
EDIT: Also, I never meant that MMM was a bad thing. I actually like it, personally, aside from the lag. I just meant that people got their hopes up after misunderstanding SE's explanation of it. That was their fault and it was very irresponsible of them. That misunderstanding stemmed a lot of disappointment when the update came around.
I must say that your opinion about Level Sync is really narrow minded.
Nah, a narrow minded opinion would be if I just didn't like it. I don't like it for many reasons. lol
Yeah I guess, but it's still quite one sided opinion imo. Doesn't take the big picture in to account.
It just seems to me that invite rates haven't improved enough to merit the issues that came with the system. It's easier to make a party, sure, just no easier to get one. To me, it just doesn't really seem worth the trade off.
Well, even then some issues have been taken care of-
Like you being in a party of lvl 40's, but one guy dings 42 5mins into the session- and the exp takes a nosedive. But with sync, the exp will still be good.
Also, at least my Dancer had a good time at 67-75 when it didn't have to fight mobs with Amnesia moves but I could just make a 55~65 party and go kill some Colibris or Puks. I can't imagine how bad it would've been if I had to fight those darn imps or fomors.
I've seen new players ding 35 in Valkurm, which is quite sad. However I think it's still better than being stuck at 20 because there's not enough players lfp at his level range.
if these are the job adjustments they are actually releasing mini-information updates for, this update is being setup to be rather lackluster, probably because of the mini expansion that's being released along with it
That's why I suggested a cap on Level Sync. Like you can't level sync unless you're within 10 levels already.
As for a UFO spell, it's highly unlikely as the only buff UFOs use is the boost move and the animation doesn't match up at all. It can't be the 2nd spell because it's either a debuff, nuke+debuff, or a physical spell, none of which match for a UFO move, since it gets none of those that could match the animation.
