beat to the punch. i don't know a shit ton about investment though, so i really couldn't tell you what's a solid financial plan. but yeah, people at your bank or an investment firm can direct you better than bg financial. just don't sign anything immediately; someone i know bought some kind of policy that essentially stole $200 from him every month and wouldn't pay out for another 10 years. when he cancelled it, he didn't get any of his money back. over $2k down the drain.

yeah, you probably wouldn't buy anything that you have to pay into monthly, but i know a bunch of people who have essentially been scammed in that manner. my mom was paying into a life insurance policy for 18 years because she was under the impression she could cash out come college time for a certain amount of money. the plan ended up being worth significantly less than what she'd been initially quoted. but hey, 18 years of payments worked out to five hundred whole dollars! i subsequently spent it all in one place.
