    How much space does a clean install of FFXI take?

    Anyone have a rough estimate? Trying to see if I've got enough room on this sucker.

    With all expansions installed about 10 gigs. You can fit the entire game comfortably on three DVDs.

    Looking at mine it's:

    Original game = 3.97GB
    RotZ = 969MB
    CoP = 1.68GB
    ToAU = 1.97GB
    WotG = 642MB

    Which is about 9.23GB total. At least now you have a rough ballpark.

    Add/Remove Programs and Programs and Features count the whiole FFXI folder for the core game and every expansion. It doesn't break the expansions down into their individual space. 8.77 GB is your entire install folder for all expansions, total.

    If your desperate for extra space, you can delete all the music files in the game (not the folders but the files) and it will still work fine just without music obviously.

    This will free up about 1gb from the directory. I had to do this to fit the entire game on a 8gb flash drive.

    You can also delete the intro movie for another extra 100mb or so, but you have to turn it off in the config so it doesn't try to play.

    There's lots of other stuff you could possibly delete to shrink the game size as well.

    (pol music, sound effects)
