in all honesty I am pretty excited to get in on the ground for FFXIV. playing FFXI after it had been out for almost 4 years was like joining the little league at age 22.

I'm not sure I'm going to. As mentioned a billion times before, I'm not particularly a fan of Square-Enix franchises. The only reason I play FFXI is because my friends suckered me into buying that rather than "Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Battle" -- which I have since acquired. That, and I genuinely enjoy the combat system and mechanics.

Beyond that, I might actually be able to get shit done in FFXI once everybody goes and plays something else.

The only thing not pressing special/hard immediately was either stuns with timing, or accuracy boost.

the most depth in the game was that, and having to switch weapons depending on situation and weapon %s. ie a 4th grader could master it if they actually thought about it.
