You don't need to explain AV's massive failure as a mob, the results speak for themselves. Tomb Raider proved that bad interactivity with any sort of difficulty curve doesn't make it the dexterity-testing equivalent of Citizen Kane. While, technically, anything remotely difficult is defined as a challenge, in practical terms there is a difference between challenge and bullshit. For example, "It would be a challenge to argue with this person, but there is no benefit or edification to be had."
