Eh, if I have 100% TP on a mob with full health I WS. Maybe that's my problem but I hate having more than 120%~ TP because that's like 1/5 of another WS. >_> And yah.. I try to SC as well. Seeing Detonator do 1300 and closing a SC for another 700-800 is nice, lol.

Edit: and I die from stupid shit I do myself, too. Ever barrage for 1000 and follow up with a 1300-1500 detonator? Yaaah.. if it's still alive shit gets nasty fast. >_>

Cor is the reason ffxigear.com has 20 bookmarks on my computer. Switching between haste/accuracy setups for /war, /rng, and /dnc would be a total nightmare if I couldn't just plug in the numbers and see how close to 407 (or whatever the magic number happens to be for the camp) I am with differrent gear/food/subjob choices.

I tend to lean toward /war with sushi in ls parties because I tend not to die much with kraken rangers and fully geared sams in my pt. In pickups, or even 50/50 split ls/pickup, I will generally bite the bullet and /dnc. In ls pt I tend to ws right at 100%. In pickup, either when it will kill the mob or after someone else has ws.

In either case, there is no getting around the fact that at collibris its going to cost you. Cor can't really use meat miths or crab sushi since they dont help the ranged acc/att part of our game. Then again, I guess thats the price you pay for not having to take a fang rush to the face with berserk up.

OK, so start with SH, move onto Pahluwan... rightyo.

The emphasis in Carrilei's sentence should have been placed on the 'or'.

For TPing, the Pahluwan body is the same as SH. If all you want is to get something R/Ex so you can sell the harness, that's fine. An actual progression, instead of just a sidegrade, would be: SH/Pahluwan Khazagand < SH+1/Antares Harness < Enkidu's Harness < Skadi's Cuirie. Cuirrie is best for any situation where your acc isn't capped... so pretty much all of them. Enkidu's Harness is going to win in areas like lower floor Nyzul, or some Limbus zones, or maybe if you use MKris/Joytoy dual wield (due to the guaranteed fSTR break for both weapons, would have to math it out).

So again, to make sure people reading don't misinterpret... scorpion harness OR pahluwan body are the BASIC options. Other end game body pieces are better. Just not Commodore Frac. Never that.

I can't remember the last time I did not go /DNC to a party (this includes dual COR parties). It seems that most CORs either don't have /DNC at all, or are completely clueless about how to use it properly.

I'm a huge proponent of /DNC+M.Kris; the damage that you lose when DDing (compared to /RNG/ or /WAR) is a worthwhile trade-off when contrasted to the vastly improved versatility you have as /DNC.

I know I'm necroing my own topic, but I figure it's better than making a new one. I finally got a kraken for rng and a joytoy for cor and put together a decent melee set along with marksmanship merits. Because of the kraken rng set I have a wyvern targe and wyvern earring for +6% haste. Have any DD cors used /drg in exp pts for the +6% haste and accuracy bonus?

I already have /war, /nin, /rng, and will be starting /dnc today

Amemet+1/Swift/Cobra Subligar/Comm. Bottes(or Dusk)

I would think saving 2 swings to 100 TP plus the additional accuracy is probably worth sacrificing the haste in a few slots.

That gear is 80% hit rate as /WAR and 92% as /RNG, is that really the best against some pieces with Accuracy? More so questioning with WAR sub.

Thanks for the %'s, I assume you're doing the math in ffxigear.com? I need to toy around with that. If you still have it pulled up would you try adding wyvern targe to sub slot, and wyvern earring to second earring slot and make it /drg? I'm curious how the natural accuracy trait will help with the %'s.

Back onto the /war discussion, what would I sub out for more +acc?

edit: if it helps, I'm 100 fishing and 100 cook, so I plan on hitting up talacca and making a metric ton of bream and sole sushi. So I assume I'll be using bream sushi.

I have. Post-WS, it gets me to 104 TP instead of 99 TP. This is my current TP setup:

Joyeuse/ /Martial/Steel
Walahra/PCC/Suppa/Brutal
Cobra/Dusk/Blood/Rajas
AM+1/Swift/Skadi/Enkidu

This does present some accuracy issues at times, even with sushi and /RNG. I really want to get Cuchulain's Mantle (Sandy just took La Vaule[S] today!) and some sword merits. Would consider replacing Brutal with Diabolos's Earring (don't have that yet either) if it would be an improvement.

As for haste versus accuracy pieces, someone (IIRC Spider-Dan) posted an Excel calculator for comparing the two based on your current hit rate and haste numbers. I'm not sure what thread that was in, though.

For WS, and for shooting for TP (just Odin/Sarameya for me), I'm looking at:

Drone Earring: Cheap, also good for QD until I get Novio, also good for Leaden Salute and Trick Attack. Inventory is something of a concern.
Beater's Earring: Also cheap, but only good when /RNG, though that's often.
Vision Earring: acc
Triumph Earring: Not particularly cheap, and not sure what else I'd use it on. King's Justice maybe, but I've been doing Minuet/Brutal.
Fox Earring: Not sure how it stacks up against the others, and also would be -1 inventory just for WS (I'd use Beater's/Vision when shooting for TP). But I have a ton of AN, so it'd be easy and painless to get.

the new cobra unit body is very good, stack up rajas ring and some other storeTP+ on other slots (without sacrificing any haste or too much accuracy) and joytoy + m.kris /nin beats everything on gaining fast TP.

Increasing the attack speed of a Joyeuse is no less important than increasing the attack speed of a Tredecim Scythe.

point them out pls, I tried joytoy only with /war or /rng (meat food then). honestly said the slugshot spam with /nin is far better with this setup on birds. Off course this aint gonna work on mamools, I only sub rng or war on mamools.
