That's not to say that he isn't funny, or good at what he does. But let's not pretend that he isn't doing what every other successful rapper does nowadays.

only good use of the talk box was roger troutman. this was before autotune. it's pretty fun to use one of those things actually. for anyone who's never tried it, it's like talking into a fan.

I don't fall for Em trolling, he's just too fucking good for me to even remotely take you fools seriously.
Kanye sucked before autotune imo though, just don't care for his flow, or his lyrics. His beats I like.
I don't see how my statement about lupe and wale had anything to do with the jay z song though. I said he should have stuck to makin beats, so I do give him cred there.
Peter Frampton.
Are all of those listed in OP even singer-songwriters because I'm pretty sure lady from Cascada isn't.
Yeah, what the fuck is up with that shit.
I don't think Kanye is a "great" rapper, but I do like his music. You ever listen to something that everyone else might think is shit, but for some reason, the lyrics/hooks/beats just speak to you on a personal level? I get that feeling with a lot of Kanye's songs. I might not agree with a lot of the stupid shit he says, but there is a lot of substance to his musical style - which he doesn't get enough credit for.
Eminem on the other hand is good, but I'd take at least 10-15 rappers over him... probably because I burned myself out on his shit back in highschool. I should probably give relapse a listen, although a lot of people I talk to say it's just more of the same.
no love for snoop? I actually like this one
I love PJ Harvey, but she doesn't apply to anything Ivve said anyways. PJ HARVEY! <3
