quick derail/question (sorry if annoying):

i recently got a waffles invite, and the site is great. i happened to have a few albums that were requested, and another that wasn't on there, so i made torrents & uploaded them, and got a 2.5 ratio pretty fast. that part was great. i then setup a 2nd system for torrents/media streaming & moved my seeds to there. i'm using utorrent, and nothing has uploaded at all in 2 days. is this normal or do i have ports screwed up somewhere? i can download fine, and i can download/upload for demonoid fine, but am i missing something when it comes to waffles (i assumed if demonoid is working then waffles would too). i guess my question is: is no activity normal on older torrents, or am i somehow getting blocked? i have the right port forwarded for utorrent. my stats page on the site says i am seeding what i am seeding too.

also, does peer guardian 2 screw private trackers? i have it disabled, so that's not the problem, i'm just wondering if enabling it for private sites messes with the tracker.

I've not been on a private music tracker before but it's probably even worse than other private trackers at keeping ratio, barring stuff like freeleech and getting in when stuff is minute or hours old. I'm willing to bet it's just a flood of seeds and not enough people downloading anything (music CDs complete in a matter of minutes on a decent connection from a private site).

Getting ratio on music alone on those sites is extremely difficult. On What.cd I got all my ratio uploading apps for Windows and stuff. The music files are simply too small to get consistent ratio on. I'm not that familiar with waffles, but if they have a warez section I suggest you pick a popular torrent and download it for ratio purposes.

Also just throwing this warning out there like I have the other times these threads pop up. Private trackers like What.cd frown upon invite trading and if they can trace your account on here to an account on their site, they will ban you and everyone you've invited. It's happened to people on other forums... so just be aware.

Invite trading is worse, but they still don't like random people getting invited, which is why they hold you responsible if the people you invite shit the bed when it comes to ratio. I doubt any of the what.cd admins browse BG, but still, it's a risk, and not one I'd take considering how hard good music sites are to come by.

well i "tested" my setup with a certain popular new app torrent and it's uploading just fine, so yeah i guess it was just no activity and things are setup ok. sorry for the bother!

This snt really considered random. You have the invitees provide proof that they are a competent community oriented person and that's good enough for admins. I've spoken with what.cd admins and their view of it is as long as you adhere to the rules, there is no problem at all.

Its just as random as going into the what.cd invite channel on their IRC and asking for one except they have a screening procedure which IIRC consists of you proving you have a good ratio on other sites which is what we are doing here except its done by people that are "certified" to give out invites.

tl;dr Its the same here as it is in the what.cd invite channel on their IRC.

P.S. I have what invites to people who can prove a good ratio. However I do have the right to refuse you an invite for no fucking reason and if I do you won't know so fuck off.

Also, those images are out of date. I've recently sold my 50" TV and a 60" version of the TV is being shipped to me as we speak. I'm also building home theater speakers to accompany the new TV.

The difference in size. The one on the left is the same as the one I have pictured above. The one on the right will be my new TV:
