Bard Stonskin Setup

So I've been thinking recently about how to max out stoneskin with my bard. So my question is how much +MND do I need if my enhancing is capped at 105 with +7 from enhancing torque to cap stoneskin? Is enhancing torque needed or should I get a stone gorget?


I am trying to plan out my endgame setups and I can get +73 MND with stone gorget equipped. Any thoughts?

You need 145 total MND (base + gear) to cap stoneskin with 105 enhancing skill.

with the new hat coming out in the moogle add-on (im planning on getting +6mnd), i will have capped stoneskin at 380 (67 base +78 equip, galka) it really is an amazing difference and well worth it especially if you use windower macros

I'm going to have to start using windower macros. I can get 145 easily since I am an elvaan, it was just a matter of needing the enhancing torque or not.

Yes, because you always have time to etude every time you cast ss, and it's definitely worth losing ballad(s) while you cast.

My gear is 377, but could easily cap it if i thought an extra 3 damage was worth inventory-1.

It's not that hard to cap, just need decent mnd gear in every single slot.

Nice gearsets, thanks for the information. I've been looking for SS setups for my BRD and these are very helpful.

I figured I'd mention that Chanter's Staff gives MND+6 as well as the singing and CHR buffs. A lot of BRDs are using this piece now to cap March and this is another potential use for it.

Capping stoneskin on an Elvaan is easy, try doing it on a Taru w/ Stone Gorget. Not exactly easy, or cheep for that matter...

Even with best possible gear I could find I still come up 1 MND short of capping (can be made up with food though).
