I couldn't imagine getting final weapons in Blackjack. Lunar Whale took a long enough for me to get used to. Once I knew what I was looking for, it took maybe 8-10 hours for me to unlock Lionheart. The majority of the time trying to get megalixirs for Unshelled Bullets. Quickbattle with Minimal AI settings makes it easy in farming gear.
Im battlegening the SHIT out of my roommates ghost. All it takes is one of us to get any single item, then we just go back and fort copying it via gen. Once I got a single Veiled magic through gen'ing megalixers off him, I completed Maduins horn in 5min. Took 8min for Nirvana, its insane.
Can someone explain how battlegen-ing rare items like megalixers works? Me and my friend both have PSP's (Though, he only just recently got the game, so has nothing atm)
How would I go about generating Rare items? And would the generation % be low like they are against Normal AIs?
Normally, vs a level 100 char is a must. Also, stack battlegen gear. My normal farming set up for, say, bravery break is: 2x 1.2 bg, 1.5 bg, 3x in midair, 1x lvl 100 and 2 luck 4-8 items. Also, try to get alot of battles in first, so your choco gives you lots of luck. Using all that...you might get up to 2.5% gen rate on some of the hard crap. Battles tend to go for ~10-15min vs ghosts if i have roughly 3 rank A, bravery break items im farming.
Don't forget to buy the Battlegen Rate up PP item
Another question - I've never actually tried to do a PvP battle on this, I also have an original PSP (Back from when they first came out) Will that be OK to use, and how do I go about finding my friend/getting their ghost?
Could I get the opinion of someone well-versed in higher tier armor?
Adaman Chain set bonus, or Maximillian with mix n match?
Depends entirely on how you play and maybe who you use. I'd use Adaman set any day of the week, but as Firion I rely a shitload on countering after blocks/dodges rather than going on the offensive, so it's a no contest.
Yeah, I think I might stick with Maximilian on my Warrior of Light. Using Achy +, Back to the Wall, Physical/Magic Shield and other "near death" bonuses. Having +40% Phys resistance at 4k health and below might be worth while.
I started practicing blocking recently. When I first started, I thought it would be an instinctive habit, but I've learned it's a pre-emptive action. Blocking, then following up with a Riposte Bravery >>> HP combo is so beautiful with Ragnarok, Champion's Belt, Sturm und Dragn ,etc.
Oh also, does the Adaman Set's "Midair Evasion Bonus" stack with the passive ability? i.e. you'll have a greater dodge distance/invincibility time
OK get the truely fighting game with square enix, imaging the game is excited or dumb,
just having fun.
Can someone tell me if "Stage Defense +??%" is just normal Defense +%? Or is it something a little different, like maybe procs on special stages or something?
Just kinda wondering why it's called Stage Defense, instead of just defense.
I always prefer Maximillian+Mix and Match (then you can get Thief's Cap/Gloves, some other good stuff in there), Soul of the Yamato is good for Gabranth especially but also for many characters in general (since the excess HP goes to Brave, and you can be in EX mode for a long time), Snowpetal is good for magical characters it appears.
Edit: Also been playing as Cloud recently. Why did no one tell me he was so good?
Onion Knights speed is just unbeatable. Master all his shit and you win races to Ex Cores and can run circles around people while they try to attack. Fuck, equip a Smiting Soul and a few times 1.X shit and you'll break Brv in no time. He attacks so much that even with a small amount of times 1.X gear that it'll proc atleast once or twice a battle.
Shame all of his attacks are easy to guard or leave huge openings in if you dodge.
Cloud is fucking horrible against a human player. He's sooo slow and very easy to block. Add in a little bit of lag and you can't do shit.
