lol,"It was four or five feet, it was very painful. I kind of crawled out and the DEP guys came running and helped me," Longueria told the Staten Island Advance.. "They were just, like, 'I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
For its part, the Department of Environmental Protection said its workers had turned away briefly to grab some cones when the incident occurred.
"We regret that this happened and wish the young woman a speedy recovery,"
and lol, staten island. fuck that place.
Wonder where-abouts the manhole actually was on the road/street. Incoming counter-sue for j-walking? >.>
lol you guys think u hate staten island. I have to live here and listen to these horrible people talk sometimes!
Man fuck all ya'll, I walk and text all the time.
I do it out of hope that I'll fall into a manhole, receive minor injuries, and get a large settlement.
shameless unprovoked bashing of an SEC rival, i am a terrible person and deserve all the horrible things that happen to me.
I bet everyone here has walked somewhere and wasn't paying attention for a part of that walk.
Since when did texting and walking become hard?
Because some people just don't have any sense and need to be reminded of the obvious. For instance, there is a woman who is suing a Doggy Door manufacturer, because they didn't put a label on the door that alerts parents that their toddler can fit thru the door. Her child slipped thru the door and drowned in the backyard pool.
Consumer Alert: Children's Deaths Tied to Pet Doors - ABC News
Surprised she didn't sue the company that built the pool for her because they didn't put a warning sign to put a gate/fence around the pool.Matthew's mother Carol, of Spring Hill, Florida, found her son floating in the backyard swimming pool after he managed to get through a small pet door in the family home.
"I remember when the accident occurred," she recalled, "and thinking to myself, 'How in the world did he ever fit out of that door?'"
The PetSafe door in the Ranfone home contained no warning to parents of the possible danger on its package or product instructions.
She was outraged to learn that many children had died under similar circumstances before her son.
"It was just unbelievable to me that all of these accidents happened as a result of doggie doors and how come I wasn't informed," she told ABC News.
I guess we really do need all those stupid warning labels that we laugh at every time we see them. Please, funny/stupid/hilarious/dumb warning label pics go.
i was riding my bike and texting yesterday. :]
I text without even looking at the screen.
Which makes sense because people with peanut allergies can die from even the tiniest amount.
I was on an airplane flight a couple months ago where they announced that a child on board was severely allergic to peanuts, and therefore they wouldn't be serving peanuts to anyone on the flight and asked that noone eat any peanut-containing foods while they were on board.
I had to stash my peanut M&Ms in my carry-on. I might've snuck one or two though.
but if there was no warning label on your m&ms you could sue them after you were jailed for murdering a child with candy
