Help w/ Blurred Characters on Vista

Recently had to reformat my PC (Dell Inspiron 1525). Yeah it's a piece... But anyways, I installed the POL Viewer patch via the official website and installed FFXI including updates, etc. I log on to see my characters look like this:

Any help on what to do? This happened the last time I installed FFXI but I can hardly remember what I did to fix it. I remember searching Yahoo and found a forum with someone who was experiencing a similar problem. Any help on how to fix this would be much appreciated. My "Display Adapter" is Mobile Intel(R) 965 Chipset Family, and I remember having to deal w/ something regarding it last time I dealt w/ this.

defiantly a video driver issue. Try looking on dell's site for your laptop and download the latest driver for your chipset.

    Try this: Drivers and Downloads

**This is assuming you have 32-bit windows vista.

I got it fixed by downgrading my driver (yes it's retarded), but now I randomly get these Vista "blue screens of death" regarding disabling my graphics driver, d/cing me instantly and rebooting my computer. Any help there?... Didn't get these blue screens last time I played on here... Thanks for any help.

Has to still be an issue with your driver. Try uninstalling any intel graphic applications you see in add/remove hardware and then installing the newest driver for your chipset.

Yeah Viper, I've been trying multiple variations. Taking into account their Package Numbers, displayed when I right click and hit properties, here is how they affect my gameplay. I don't understand why the earliest package number gives me the least lag but also the consistent bluescreens. Not exactly sure what to do, but the lag differences are clearly noticeable. Using the lowest package #, I can walk around WG w/ little to no lag, the last two it's more of a blocklike fashion in how I move... Thanks for any help, again.

Those BSOD's look to be caused by the RAM, how old is the ram, and may want to try running memtest on it just in case. Also would downgrade again to different driver's keep trying =\
