Fairly easy and straight foward with 50-60 people lol. Lets get a strat down to 36 or so Q.Q.

Well can use same strat, will just be harder. I'd prefer more people to guarantee the kill however, such a pain in the ass to get the pops for it.

We had alot of support jobs there who pretty much did nothing on the final form, cept toss some raise and some buffs. Everyone was asked to bring rr items so raises were minimal. Probably had under 30 people actualy doing damage to PW in the end. Think we had 5 blu spaming cannonballs, but prob could have spaced them out a bit more. We were paranoid about it depoping, but BLU kept the regen under control and actuly took it down some.

Next time it should go faster and smoother, this was attempt #3. Think everyone knows exactly what to do next time so much quicker I'm sure.

Can totally do it with 36 people, but you can't have any fuckups is all. Having extra people come along provides that extra insurance incase some unexpected shit hits the fan.

I'd love to see what a GM will do for that. I'd put it up there with "wall of justice" exploit (instant ban right?), too bad it means a pop set will be gone.

Work it down to ~25 and maybe then it will be worth doing by ls's that don't have 500 people or team up with others. I've been running some thing in my head and I think it can be done, just need lots of relics and people to be able to change jobs quickly

Yeah Mac, Rob was definitly there on more than one PW pop. Hell I can recall 3 just off the top of my head but yeah, as the numbers needed keeps getting lower and lower I think you'd be dealing with a time issue. Even if you were to execute your strategy flawlessly I think time would do you in.

DaFunk had 43 people. They made it to the final form with literally an hour left, and killed it with 35 minutes left, and that was with having to let it go passive and regen to fix a CFH at about 80%.

Are you forgetting there is a 2 hour time limit on this guy. Even if you have 25 people with relics I seriously doubt you can kill it with that few. You've fought this before haven't you? Or were you absent, I forget. You never did attend many raids. It's not just about killing the final form, you still need to kill the other 9 forms to get there. If you want to risk your PW pops with 25 people with your 'brilliant strategist mind' instead of a proven method to win with 40-60 go for it lol.

Why not try actually killing it first before coming up with strats using fewer people.

The way I see it is you don't need more than 2 tanks, and if both are excal/aegis tanks then they will also help a lot of the DD side. 2 amano, 2 bravura, 2 apoc drk and 2 relic rngs are plenty on the DD side for more or less any form - just need to set up zerg brds for hydra to knock down that shit fast. Honestly 6 DD is plenty for almost any of those forms. I remember they were pretty squishy. ~6 DD (we'll say 8), 2 tanks + lamp pulling tank, 3 whm, 2 rdm, 2 brd = 18. Add in 10 top geared blms (full stoneskins, sorc rings, etc) and that puts things at 28. Have the relics take ~3 lamps each pop and I really think it can be done. + 1 bst too.

Every time I think about the 3 times I got to deal with PW I just remember people not doing things right - afking at the wrong time, using the wrong element on lamps, walking around, etc. I think a lot of those kinds of problems occur when there are too many people there.

And mac, not everyone has the resources to just have 50+ people at something lol, not to mention don't want to have to deal with that many people. 50 is an absolute fuckton of people and nothing should require that many. If DF has pushed this shit down with ~36, I think a group of top geared people could do it with less than 30

PLD/RDM gets diaga pulls also. And fast cast, and more survivability.

The only think /whm offers over /rdm is 1 more level of MDB.

/rdm offers phalanx, MDB1, Fast cast, diaga, and the blind/bind/dispel/etc hate tools (not that the pld would be using those in this fight).

I guess if you had a rdm with max phalanx 2 with the pld, then /rdm wouldnt be all that important, but Id take 2 levels of fast cast over 1 MDB level any day.

Maybe it's as simple as them wanting quick, easy and cheap access to Reraise? Sounds pretty dumb, but I can't think of much else.
