The I really liked the Murray "sighting" in episode 1. Guybrush saw a Skull with a candle in it and thought it was Murray. Which should instantly remind you of when you first met him in MI3.

Episode 2's "sighting" of him wasn't very good, but at least it had Hugh the wall mounted singing manatee. Once you figure out how to get the item from it, do that action again and Hugh will sing "A Pirate I Was Ment to be". Guybrush seems to have forgotten how much he hated that song.

Also, click on the cans hanging next to Hugh, then the drawing of the voodo lady for a nice laugh.

Also, I'm glad that there's a market still for graphical adventures. I was getting tired of seeing only nancy drew games being released.

finally got down to playing episode 2 this week. completed it.

Ep2 seems longer to me than Ep1, maybe because I took a longer time figuring out the puzzles. (the manatee one had me puzzled for a while). Overall I'd say the puzzles are getting better. The well one in Ep1 was kinda fake difficulty.

I too wish Murray makes a reappearance. He is one of the most popular MI characters ever invented i think. The characters really make the game, but sad to say there hasn't been many good new characters since EMI on...
however, this Morgan LeFlay is quite an interesting character.. i like Morgan already.

So episode 3 is out now, but no one here seemed to notice. It's another good episode overall. Pyrite Pirate is lost, but you gain something better.

its good. I really enjoyed it. I really like certain characters now.. and lol some of the lines in it are awesome..

The episode was pretty good, but really dark. It makes me wonder how they can move on from the ending, but we'll see in a month. Oh and Stan's back, yay!

i was going to grab that, Limbo, Braid, and maybe the new Castlevania after my next pay check. anyone who hasn't played MI1 or 2 needs to get these!

i refuse to pay full price for Limbo, 15 bucks for 3 hours is a little ridiculous. I have the first Monkey Island SE, it's pretty fantastic though. Wish they'd release Tales of MI on XBLA/PSN, especially since the wiiware version is supposedly laggy as hell

I bought both for the PS3. Never played the originals, though I did enjoy the LucasArts games that came after the MI series (The Dig, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, etc) as well as the NES Maniac Mansion.

The first seemed a bit laggy in some places and hard crashed my PS3 once or twice which was really annoying. But a great game.

The second was absolutely perfect, and added two things I adored- the highlight objects feature (much better than hints) and the ability to flawlessy jump between new and old graphic modes while maintaining the new voices. Just beat it last night, was very pleased (well, except the ending).

Gonna play Curse of Monkey Island in ScummVM, and Escape from Monkey Island on an old Mac OS 9 machine. Probably buy Tales of Monkey Island on the PS3 cause I <3 trophies more than buying/playing it on a Mac with Steam.

I would love for LucasArts to make Special Editions of Maniac Mansion (and Loom, Zak McKracken)- I presume they won't be remaking anything from the games which actually had voice action.
