I like Haagen Dazs a lot more than B&Js, imo it's the best american ice cream brand on the market.

For whatever reason I like clean, simple high quality flavors, I feel like B&Js compensates for having slightly inferior (although still good) ice cream by adding too many swirls/chunks/etc.

I see what you're saying but I look at it as simple instead of plain, I guess. Not being drowned out by added ingredients, however intriguing and delicious, makes the high quality of Haagen Dazs ice cream really stand out. Don't get me wrong, I love B&Js, but I think they're completely different experiences. Maybe it's not even fair to compare the two? Hmm...

I didn't mean crap ingredients wise, I meant that I find caramel swirls and crap like that distracting. The whole idea behind ice cream is indulging so I don't really care what ingredients it has in it, so long as it tastes good D:

ive had gelato many times before, I usually prefer high end ice cream because of the higher butterfat content since it's not something I eat every day and I like it to taste like it's really bad for me lol
