I don't have much time, but a quick review of what I'm doing game play wise is needed. Basically, should I bother spending time upgrading Scouts? I've heard they're horrible, but they get to be snipers (which are sadly missing) which might be worth while?

I like the Tech guys with the shield, they're awesome, and APCs are broken. I just need a bit of a plan on what classes to upgrade. Also, what mission is the best for grinding?

Snipers and Veteran Scouts are both good imo. Snipers movement feels really limiting this time around though compared to VC1, but they can actually hit shit consistently without being max level this time.

And Sniper Elites are awesome. They have slightly highest movement, and they fire 3 bullets per shot. I have yet to find any unit that can survive a round of fire from my elites that isnt an Ace or a boss.

The actual scout line is pretty horribad unless you're in a multiple base capture map or something. I gave Aliasse the highest tier rifle for elite and she's still struggling to one round non scout infantries. While you can try using heavy scout, the penalty to AP pretty much takes away the only benefit of using scouts, that and they still don't cleanly take out unpowered V2, second tier fencer line, and APC from the back like a commando would.

I find myself using Sniper Elite in a pretty similar manner as Fencer Elite, in that I pop them from base/APC then put them back in after they ganked someone. Of course, in the case of APC, that fencer elite become moot when I get range upgrade attachment for my flamethrower...though they are useful for boss fight, since 2 of them can just flank a boss and murder it in 2-3 turns.

quick question, is there anyway to get the dlc without paying for it? like, unlocking the dlc missions with cwcheat or something, idk, I don't see why it WOULDN't be possible, but I can't find any info anywhere.

if it's not possible I might just buy it, but no idea how to go about even getting it, with a hacked psp and ps3 <_<

edit: fuck, for $5, I'll buy it, especially since I didn't get to support them by actually buying the game >.>

Has anyone gotten a "Hervor g21" gun for scouts yet? I can't remember where I got this thing but it's pretty much making breeze through the game. 7 shouts, vs Psnl 45, VsArmr 80, Acc 99, range 320, Spec -def. I turned my Avan into a 7 shot sniper as a scout.

Famitsu says that a demo for Valkyria Chronicles 3 is coming out on Tuesday the 9th. Japanese, obviously. Apparently every character will be able to swap classes too, like Avan in VC2. But each character will be more suited to a certain class. Didn't think it warranted a new thread, at least until an English version.

Been playing this gradually over the last 2 weeks, but what are good missions to farm certain credits on? I can basically just steamroll anything before August (on September now), so getting everything before that is easy.

Already got Avan as a Commando, holy shit he's awesome. I just want a few Fencer elites, Sniper elites and more commandos. Everything else kinda falls to the wayside.

Played this for a solid 10 hours and just couldn't get into it... with VC1 I was really engaged in the story (thought Welkin was great main character) and wanted to keep playing to see what happened next... this game it's annoying kids with no real point behind half the missions. Definitely won't be picking up the 3rd one unless I hear amazing things.

The third one is supposed to be more story oriented like the first one.

3rd one has playable valkyrie, a heavy weapon user that can lock on multiple target with a laser barrage, and a leader that gives free movement/assist on other unit.
