I don't really want to add her as a friend. And funnily enough, I get an email the same day I get a Facebook message from my mom that someone attempted to reset my password.
Any stories about your mom or dad stalking you on Facebook?

Don't do it. I added my mom cause I thought I couldn't find a way around it. Then before I knew it her sister sent me an invite, then her mother, then her other sister.
After time I realized they started to befriend every girl that left me a comment. I hate my fucking family.
My Ma's so asstarded at using computers that thankfully I don't have to deal with stuff like this. She still has to phone me to ask how to get photo's off her camera.
Yea, my sis and I saw that one coming from a mile away when she asked us to help her make an account Null. We said she didn't need a facebook and refused to make her one.
My dad spends more time on Facebook than I do on Final Fantasy, it is kind of creepy.
whats wrong with moms? godbless them.
you should obvs just block the shit outta her and tell her later that you never got it and/or she just isn't doing it right
Limited profile access is the answer.
Should be in the privacy settings. You can set it so that a specific person can't see what your regular friends can see and also preview your profile from their POV
Don't accept their friend request? Seriously, it's fucking creepy when parents try to intrude on your social life.
I have my parents on my facebook. Nothing wrong with it.
Annoys the shit out of me when my stepmother comments on shit all the time (especially on my real mother's postings... seriously...) but I just ignore it.
Well, what concerns me is that 2 hours before my "mom" sent me this facebook message i got an email saying someone is trying to reset my password.
Sent an email to her to make sure she did in fact sign up to facebook.
If you're putting things on your Facebook profile that you don't want your mom to see, chances are they are things you wouldn't want your boss or co-workers to see. Here is a pro-tip:
DO NOT POST INCRIMINATING SHIT ON THE INTERNET
Facebook became truly detrimental to relationships once they started this privacy shit.
If you mess with privacy settings enough, you can basically limit what any single person can see to the most trivial of information on facebook.
Also like someone else said, you can just make groups of people accordingly and limit their access in one swoop. It helps for when you don't want your family to see pictures/wall posts concerning you getting ridiculously messed up and people commenting about all the aforementioned debauchery.
Or you can just let your family accept you for you!
