I pulled a marathon on Season 1 toward the end, I had watched the first couple episodes and eventually couldn't stop watching it

I was surprised at the quality of the first season and how much I liked all the characters (although Tony was on and off, good character just didn't always like him -- fucking prick/poor guy)

since you like Effy so much, I thought the show might not pick up til she was more prominent, anyway I really enjoyed it, Sid and Chris's episodes kinda hit home for me

when Sid "grounded" his dad that kinda hit home for me, to see a child scold the parent like that, to have the roles reversed when a parent should know what the fuck, and yet doesn't.. the child should never have to be in that position, parents should be more prepared. Anyway I thought that scene was really well done, kinda reminded me of some things growing up.

And for Chris' episode, how can you not feel some sympathy for him being unwanted by his Dad and completely fucked over by his seemingly crazy Mom.

Also I really like Sid and Cassie, I hope they work out

I'm on Season 2 episode 2, I mentioned before it's hard to watch Tony now; looking forward to seeing more of Effy but I have to say I'm enjoying the lead-up immensely

The first series is good, yeah, but in my opinion the second series is the best, so you have something to look forward to.

this series is so loaded, say what you will but I've cried 2-3 times over this series, I reeeeally like the characters

haven't slept after work yet so a season 3 marathon is out of the question, but I can't help but see how season 3 starts
