Seeking Free-To-Play MMO's

The woman and I are looking for either a buyable or downloadable MMO for PC. Honestly have no idea what I'm looking for, something that isn't so much a grind I suppose and doesn't require a shit ton of time to do anything. I guess.. Something more medieval themed like FFXI, but I'm open to any real suggestion if its really worth playing. Thanks guys.

You should read the AION thread. It will be release on Sept so you can have a fresh start like everyone. The game is pretty hype atm.

Yea, play ragnarok if you like korean grindan. I'd say play AION even though it isn't a F2P, it's like a mixture of WoW and FFXI, except better then both. Well, maybe not FFXI in certain areas, but much better then WoW imho.

Yes, I know the irony in the ragnarok comment and suggesting Aion, Aion isn't grindy at all though. :3

Perfect world is one of the better well made free MMOs, but I heard it's a grind to reach the upper levels.

Guild Wars sounds right up your alley. You have to buy the game, but the servers are free to play on .

PM me if you want two 21 day trials for EVE Online. The game is now very friendly for newbies and you can enter "end game" type content within about 2 months of playing. The nice thing is that you "level up" while offline as well. I know it's not free to play but you might enjoy the 3 week trial. There is a good thread about the game in this forum if you want more info.

Hey a chance to plug the game I work on. Free Realms is a newer game released a few months ago. Its free to play with an optional subscription, but it is a game geared for the 10-14 age range. But I do know alot of older people playing it.. anyways, its a suggestion lol

I was reading a lot about Aion yesterday and frankly, its going to be hard to pass up just because I don't want to shell out the extra money. I may do it anyway because it really does look good.

Should try Granado Espada its free to DL and play they make there cash threw a cash shop witch you can avoid using entirely since the majority of the items are tradable so can be bought off other players

games graphics id be willing to bet that there the best out of any free to play game

over all the game is pretty fun but the endgame is pretty much all PvP

game is also nice if you don't have lots of time to spend training can leave in AI mode and it will auto attack mobs that spawn near you till you get killed so if u don't mind leaving your pc on while your out and such it will do the lvling for you and you can just focus on fun stuff when you ready to play

there are daily instanced raids that where added few months back tho you need to be 110+ to be able to survive most of them.Team arena is kinda like DoTA and it scales you up so anyone can participate on a mostly even field

over all game is alot of fun and doesn't require large time commitments(as long as you don't mind leaving your PC's on for long periods of time)

That is very cool. Do they still make you purchase items for your character when you are playing? My friend plays and she is a modeler for them and had to purchase an item that she modeled lol, I am not ragging on them for that I just though it was kinda funny when you thought about it.
