As far as unique setups you mention, just realize that Sara is EXTREMELY MP intensive as far as cures go because you are blood tanking. I highly recommend PLD/DRK as stated earlier for the extra stun. You need very strong healing and MP refresh in any setup that use blood tanking so COR+BRD+RDM is a good idea. Your setup with backline cor brd rdm whm seems very strong. The WHM stoneskin effect added should help you quite a bit now actually since you're taking constant damage from poison and melee.

He really isn't that bad, as I said already a sam or war using rabbit pie and normal party buffs like protect (phalanx 2 will also help greatly) will mitigate his damage very well and there is always the option to throw up defender to reduce it further. With rdm brd whm on back line and a well geared sam seigan tanking with the food/buffs I stated you should be able to recover mp fairly quickly.

This applies to a 12 man 'gank' because if your mages get low on mp you can pull off all the other melees leaving your most suitable one to solo tank until you are able to resume.

Well, our COR missed out, so we got a SCH, and a couple extra DD tagged along as WAR/SAM and SAM/WAR.

Died to rage mode at 5%...

If we had gotten the hang of the fight a little earlier, we should have easily won it. For about the first 20 minutes though people weren't dispelling at all much to my annoyance, and we had to get onto DD about holding their tp.

He was extremely easy to handle aside from the botches on dispel at the start, and we probably would have won despite that if not for the fact the best DD we had couldn't get onto the island for lack of salt.

Won't lose to it again though, and can easily see him getting trounced with a little extra prep work.

We did Sara w/ WAR/SAM x2 in normal melee set besides fulltime (convenience, can macro in) Suzy sune-ate. BRD x2, Carol/Marchx2/Min, Pizza or so, RDM, WHM.
