Wondering if anyone can give me a few songs that would be considered the "best" of DMB since I haven't really ever listened to them. if possible link youtube vids. thanks.

bro, wanna come up to my room and talk about it?
fuck all these people that hate on DMB, no one whines about their shitty music tastes.

Pig do yourself a goddamn favor and get this one, specifically the one off DMB Live Trax Vol. 6, it's the fenway park performance. can get it on iTunes.

You Might Die Trying
Joy Ride
..there's a lot, you may want CD recommendations if you're going for "best of," because there's a lot of it. Let me know if you need a longer list, I can definitely provide on. That should get you started, though.
really? okay, then just FYI you won't get points for knowing, from that list:
Satellite
Warehouse
Rapunzel
Ants Marching
Bartender
So Much To Say
Too Much
Everything else will net you cool points, provided you're in a crowd that really, really likes DMB. Pig probably the most, make sure you listen to it. also don't mention Crash Into Me (not to be confused with the CD Crash, which is very good), it's minus a billion points.
edit, forgot: their new CD is worth checking out too, Big Whiskey & The GrooGrux King. couple songs from it:
Why I Am - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zD3hwzsSww&feature=fvst
Seven - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfmoaVld91E
Shake Me Like A Monkey - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRZsD...eature=related
Spaceman - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiYRr...eature=related
talk about how you love that DMB's new album (Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, remember it) pays tribute to LeRoi Moore (their recently deceased saxophonist, it was a big deal among fans, but don't use his last name because people will know who LeRoi is as soon as you say it), and you like the way LeRoi bookends the CD with the first track, Grux, then the hidden track after the last song on the album, You & Me.
oh and your favorite song is Dancing Nancies. if anyone asks you what version, just say off the Live at Central Park album.
you're better served just becoming an expert imo, there's too much to teach
Speaking of the Central Park concert, get your hands on that album!
My favorite tune from that concert:
Two Step is a fucking INCREDIBLE song
