Increase Ranger damage output with bow.

Hello!

I'm interested in increasing my damage output for ranger.
I recently recorded my damage outputs in a Dynamis, they are as followed;

RNG75/NIN37 (taru)
STR:57+26
AGI:76+21

Regular range attack with Velocity Shot, 90-120. With critical hits averaging 120-180.
SideWinder 300-950
Barrage 100-890

TP Gear;
Weapon: Fire Staff + Axe Grip, Fransisca + Hawker's Knife
Range: Vali's bow + Demon Arrows
Head: Wyvern helm
Neck: Hope Torq.
Earring: Bushinomimi + Vision Earring
Body: Mirke (Range attack +10, Snap shot +5)
Hands: Hunter's bracers +1
Rings: Behemoth Ringx2
Back: Amemet mantle +1
Waist: Royal Knight's belt
Legs: Scout's Braccae
Feet: Scout's socks

Archery : 290 (7/8 Archery merits)

Now since, I'm new to endgame RNG, I don't have many merits and I lack a WS Gear swap. For when the fact I changed my Rings for STR. I saw a increase in misses and I felt I rather hit more then do more Damage. But is there a way I can do both? And what if any of Ranger should I merit?

I forgot to add, I have all subs needed. If it might just be I subbed lolNin to endgame...

only thing i can think for your TP are:
Hands: Blood Finger Gauntlet or Skadi bazubands
Rings: Behemoth Ring +1 x2
Waist: Einherjar or dynamis belt
Legs: Hachiryu Haidate or skadi legs(to help with your store TP when not sj sam anyways)

Hands: Hunter's bracers +1 - Why? Seiryu's or Crimson

Make sure you get a WS set. Majority of RNG dmg comes from WS, Osode, Flame rings, Ocean Sash, Hachiryu(lol)

Look into Skadi also, Feet/Legs/Hands are very nice for RNG.

Also, dont got /nin, your not helping yourself. /war is the only sub you should be using. Hmm Maybe /sam is ok also. Situational

Well Vul is only 1 more STR.... Im not paying 600k vs 25k for 1 more STR. I can see where it would help me. But money can go to many other better places.
And hands because I don't do much sky. But yes I am planning on getting those soon.

You really need osode as first upgrade for rng, best ws piece, relic feets > skadi, hachi feets or relic feets (+1) is something that i have my doubts what is better in general, i'd say relic are better but i am not too good with the maths behind that.

If you can't get hachi legs Pahl. seraweels > skadi legs for ws (unless you are working on a X-build on rng), hands depend on your acc cfg,seiryu and skadi all can be used on different situations.

Head depend on your acc and what are you figthing and food, Ohat, AF (+1), Gnadb head are nice for tp, relic belt or buc. are nice upgrades too.

so u can prolly go the same for WS, except using str rings and osode + maats cap(if u have) apart from your TP

not much real good earrings for RNG atm, besides lucky augmented earrings (i got a 1 str 5 r.att one hehe), so your choices are ok, but if you want, a novia sure helps

If yourt not in a sky shell try and find one that will sell crimson or Seiryu's. Should only be around 200-400k these days.

But yeah, salvage is the future.

I'm not into all that math and which is better for what situational bullshit, but in general I usually save my STR gear for ws while I use all my R. Acc. gear for TP. Oh and as for merits, max out rapid shot and snapshot asap, I also unlocked all the other group 2 merits with 1 merit each.

Your gear is very nice. But, I'm not looking to get that serious into ranger. But, you have given me some gear options~ Thanks!

If Salvage isn't your thing to do, grabbing some Pahluwan stuff with Assault points may help. The pants are a nice piece (Str+ and Racc+ woot!), and the hands would be ok to use until you get crimson or seiryu, adding 9 more RAcc would allow you to swap in possibly one, maybe two STR rings instead of the behemoths.

Iirc, Agi does nothing for archery or its weaponskills (or at least the one that counts). Crossbow is a different matter. Correct me if I'm wrong. So no, I would not ws in hachiryu feet unless I had a xbow or gun setup.
