Do people even shop at these places? I never understood the point of Apple, or Dell stores; seems like there are only one in each state or so, and I never hear about them.
Just kind of seems like a waste when everything is going digital, and when their products are sold in every store ever.
Microsoft retail store is the best thing that happened since Windows Millenium
lol I knew you'd do that.
FUUU windows 2.0/2.1 is the shit!

Try going into an Apple store during any holiday season. They are packed full of older people who can't tell an iPod from an alarm clock yet there kids want one so bad. It's actually a pretty smart move trying to get older people to purchase their products. I've never really seen an empty Apple store.
The Sony stores on the other hand though....
I'm not sure how MS is going to pull this off. Apple must be doing something right though, the store at the Buffalo Galleria is always packed (usually by people with thick black rimmed glasses, a t-shirt, and jeans wearing vans/airwalks/converse).
There was a line out the door the day the iPhone 3G came out.
Bet they were wearing Rage against the machine T-shirts too right? And had spiked wristbands?
Stereotypical macfag.
Are we talking about apple store or hot topics?
I'd be interested in knowing if they would sell Xbox 360 games at a lower cost since they're not going through mark ups for profit from retail stores lol. I have two PCs and recently purchased an iMac because I'm an artfag and needed Final Cut Studio 2, but the "MAC IS BETTER GUYYYYYSSSSSSS!!!!" limp-wristed children at my school irritate me just like they do anyone else. I really don't understand the difference in these machines other than the fact that one of them is capable of running the software I need to use for school lol. If Dell didn't allow themselves to have shitty battery chargers for their laptops to be made, I'd probably be typing this from my laptop instead of my iMac, but fuck those $70 money grubbing AC adapters that I've had four of already and my procrastination and common sense is telling me to just not buy another for a while.
Why would someone go into a microsoft store to look at a handful of microsoft keyboards for example, when they could go into a regular computer store to check out the same MS keyboards, plus a ton of other keyboards from other brands? Not to mention they'd ultimately be competing with their own products sold at other stores, it's pretty silly.
Wouldn't mind checking them out. Hopefully they'll have some sort of promo for 7, can't wait to get my hands on the finalish version. I fucking <3 XP, it's the most ironed out OS IMO. My laptop has never ever crashed due to an OS error.
You can go into a Best Buy and buy an Apple also. So I don't see the logic here.
The main selling point of these type of stores is to promote new products, let the customers have hands on experience with the products they produce up front. And allow trained associates that work from the company itself (which ultimately are going to know more about the product than a Best Buy kid) to work closer with the customer for information requests and such.
