ABDC4 Crews announced:
Afroborike
Artistry in Motion
Beat Ya Feet Kings
Fr3sh
Massive Monkees
Rhythm City
Team Rocky Top
Vogue Evolution
We Are Heroes
All audition videos are on YouTube - fanscapevideos's Channel
There are some good crews, but none that are on the same level as Jabba or Quest, IMO. Massive Monkees will make it pretty far. Artistry in Motion is a possible Fanny Pak, with Rhythm City and Fr3sh as the choreo crews.
wow We Are Heroes is pretty hot, probably the best female group I've seen on this show. Fr3sh reminds me of step up 2, when they first attempted to show off at the club. Or that new tv show Glee, kinda lame. I liked Rhythm City. I'm interested to see if Vogue Evolution can actually come up with stuff week to week.
Afroborike wtf? I guess they want diversity, different styles? Not saying I can do better or that I know a lot about salsa, but based on what I've seen on sytycd, they're not even all that good at their own style. I'm interested to see more of Team Rocky Top
Has this gone global yet? like there's a sytycd australia, one for canada. I'd like to see what koreans or japanese could come up with on the same scale as abdc. I know dancing on j-k pop videos and performances aren't usually anything special, but the culture can come out with some nice stuff sometimes.

Really? I just think they're alright. Foreign Exchange (Pandora's crew) is MUCH more experienced with popping. Would have much rather seen them on the show.
In terms of best female crew on ABDC? I'd still say Beat Freaks takes the cake. Rino, Maryss, and Keeley are way better poppers than We Are Heroes.

ABDC isn't international, but there's a competition called Hip Hop International going on right now, actually, that has crews of 5-8 people compete. Poreotics, SoReal Cru, and Kaba Modern (not the same people as the ABDC crew) won gold, silver, and bronze in the US championships and are representing the US in internationals. Korea is most prominently known for their poppers and bboys. Japan as well, but on a lesser scale.

Update: none of the US crews were even close to the top 3 in preliminaries just now. Poreotics got 6th, SoReal got 8th, and Kaba Modern got 12th in preliminaries. Philippine All-Stars (the defending champs) got 1st in prelims.
After seeing tonight's premiere...Rhythm City + Massive Monkies = Finals.
GTFO Vogue Evolution, transgender, homosexual hip hop cheerleading black people, from NEW YORK OMG??!?!?! GTFO. I'm black, and from New York, and these people make New York look like fruitloop city BULLSHIT...Atleast Rhythm City is repping da streets still...
"Gay" isn't a race holmes, I don't want them on my ABDC anymore kkthxbai, had enough with phannypack and their antiques, even they were a little bit more watchable sorta, cause it was guy's dancing with girls. BUT this new crew is all guys (one is transgender to look like a girl) and they're all black (this represents our black community bad), and they're from NEW YORK (the state which I live). Like I said I'm black, and I still cannot tolerate them being on this show. I will not even vote for them. I will vote for Rhythm City because I like them (and they're from NY) and or Massive Monkee's, these two were definitely the best performers. All this gay shit going on now a days on TV is unnecessary man, TV wasn't like this less than 10 years ago...
I bet they are the ones responsible for the swine flu pandemic.
Bigotry does strictly relate to race, "holmes."
I think that if last season they can have a crew of cloggers, they can have a bunch of flaming homosexuals vogue and show punking/whacking as a legitimate style. Considering that groups like Kaba Modern vogue and whack in all their latest competitive routines, I'd venture to say that it's a needed variation to the show.
That being said, I don't think the crew is very good at what they do.
How do they represent the black community poorly? You realize there are like.. 20 other blacks on the show, right?
I'm not really a fan of the show (the reruns are on a convenient time when nothing else is on) but I don't think Vajra has to worry about that group staying around long. I'm surprised they even made it on the show unless the producers (if that's how the auditions are narrowed down at first. If not, the viewers) wanted an edgy group to be around. The clogging group last season was at least good at dancing in their genre.
I liked the cloggers from last season too, their clogging matched the music that was played, and they incorporated hip hop. The Vogue Evolution group just dances with gayness, and represents gheyness period, no thanks kkbai. I hope they fudge up badly and get kicked off!
They probably only added the clogging group because of Brandon Norris on sytycd

Oh I caught breaksk8 on America's got talent. That British guy was like: the dancing was good, but not with the skates.
/rolleyes
Well I'm not a huge fan of voguing/whacking, but it's become incorporated in a lot of top crews' styles. Kaba Modern used whacking in their HHI 2009 piece, and We Are Heroes and Fr3sh did some this past week, too. Also, Leyomi (the transgender in Vogue Evolution) is pretty huge in the voguing world, and Beyonce actually takes some of her moves from Leyomi. Next week is Beyonce week... coincidence?
i'm actually a bit angry that the go go group or the Spanish dancers didnt get the boot. imo they were way behind the azns
It's because of how the producers set up the groups of 3. Afroborike was in a weak group of 3, and they could only send one to the bottom, and Fr3sh was in a strong group of 3 (and basically the only group that got any criticism whatsoever), so gg. Then again, Fr3sh got rocked in the sudden death challenge, so I understand why they got booted.
Wow, Afroborike did really well this week.
