Big misconception when you're married. Theirs 3 tiers of women you have after you jump the broom:

Well good for your friends, but they aren't the majority. Most husband's and wife's who cheat aren't cheating "consistently". There's almost never more than one partner, and they almost never "pull" a partner. Cheaters rarely seek, it usually is just something that "happens", usually after an acquaintance becomes too close. Why get married if your constantly seeking other better looking mates? It doesn't make sense, which is why it's rather rare.

As the child of a couple who should have divorced but stayed together "for the kids" it's nice to hear that some people (especially those that are parents themselves) realize that this is how it works. It's much healthier for parents to be split up on amicable terms than force themselves to stay together, silently hating each other (and often times not-so-silently).

I get all of that, the thing I was objecting to was that it "just happens." based on the glibness of your explanations, I don't think it's out of line to read that you yourself felt that it "just happened." you said that marriages have low and high points, but a low point is not an excuse to cheat or any rationale for it EVEN IF you work through it. hopefully you don't feel like I'm trying to shame you, but I really want to stress the importance of accountability. if you feel you've taken accountability for your actions enough, then awesome. tis all.

Could be worse, she could have actually slept with numerous other guys in order to get revenge. Which I think was the initial question. That would have been stupid. Her hugging other guys wasn't exactly a jealousy thing, but more of a security thing. When I see her having a good time without me, I begin to feel that she doesn't need me, which drives a guy nuts. Not really jealous, but feelings of insignificance. That she could move on so easily. Pretty much the exact thing I did to her, make her feel insignificant.
