About us

DarterVendetta is a mercenary LS in the Kujata server. We formed recently with the intention of enjoying endgame activities while making money doing so, as well as helping those who can't get items by regular means for a small price. We have experience in selling RA/EX items, and many buyers can vouch for that.

Our activities cover most of what FFXI's endgame has to offer: Einherjar, Limbus, Sea (lolSky too!), Dynamis, Bahamut, Wyrms, HNM... Our events start between 5 and 6 PM GMT (11 AM - 12 PM EST), every day except for Sunday, which is a free day.

Brief explanation of lotting system

We sell our drops to outside buyers, and to inside buyers as well. People from the LS have, of course, priority over outside buyers, and a juicy discount on both RA/EX items and sellable items. We also run a DKP system as a backup in case people do not have enough gil for an item they desire. However, a strong point about our system is that there will be no lotting wars: worst comes to worst, and 2 members want to buy the same item and both have gil/DKP, leaders will decide who gets it, basing their decision on attendance, attitude, and general usefulness of the item towards the LS. And, needless to say, money earned during an event is split even between those who attend, so be there or be square.

Linkshell weekly schedule [Times are in GMT timezone, which is EST +5]

Monday: Einherjar, gather 5:30, enter 6:00-6:15. Limbus when Einherjar finishes.

Tuesday: Sea, gather at 5:15, start at 5:30.

Wednesday: Dynamis, gather at 5:15, enter at 5:30.

Thursday:Einherjar, gather 5:30, enter 6:00-6:15. Limbus when Einherjar finishes.

Friday: Random event (Ouryu/v2/ZNM t4 etc)

Saturday: Dynamis, gather at 5:15, enter at 5:30.

Sunday: Free day

What we're looking for

We are currently looking for experienced members to fill our roster. We do not want people with little to no experience, as we are a mercenary LS dedicated to providing the best possible service to its customers. As you will see in the requirements, we want people with 3+ 75 jobs (at least one of them being a mage, with BLM being a huge bonus). Playing on PC is also a bonus.

If you're a PLD we're expecting more than 5 sets of gear. If you're a DRK we're expecting zerg gear. If you're a melee we're expecting Haste/6hit(if applicable)/good WS sets. If you're a mage we're expecting several gearsets. For all that is holy, don't apply if your jobs are mediocre, slightly gimp or you don't really care about gearing them up properly.

As a final note...

Finally, we'd like to note that we're aware this is a rather uncommon way of running a LS. Credit goes to FrenzyLS on the Carbuncle server for sharing this idea with us. It must also be said that it is a rough system at the beginning, but once things start going well, we think that this is probably the best long-term system for our members.

Demo went poof, and the LS name is a combination of one of the most fail things you can do (yet still hilarious when it happens) and your old LS's name. I wanted to name it CosaNostra, but the name was taken in Kujata, so I thought of another italian name, kinda.

Just a small update: most of our spots are filled, however, we may we willing to accept a small number of very well geared, well merited, and knowledgeable players, particularly BLM. If you have rng and blm then this will be a huge plus. EU players that have both of these jobs and aren't terrible and like making gil should consider this LS. Basically, if you like the game, like making gil and like watching terrible linkshells wipe to stuff then you could have a lot of fun in this LS. It's run well and the people are a good laugh.

atm I'm playing on a friend's Kujata mule because I'm bored as hell and it's something to do. It's been really fun watching people wipe to Ixion and rage it, too! I had never seen it rage until the last week. :D

We are currently looking for really experienced players, preferably with BLM leveled (not required, just a big bonus). You can check our frontpage to see how succesful we are: at the moment we're making around 10M a day, and we've reached an average of over 15M a day before, with our best day yielding 32M so far. Our events take place at 12:30 PM EST / 5:30 PM UK time.

We split whatever money we make off an event between those present in said event, giving a better reward to people who actively camp a NM over those who are just there for the kill. We don't want average or slightly above average players, as our LS only has endgame veterans from several servers. You must be experienced enough to be able to manage lowman situations, and to know what to do and what not to do in every scenario (nobody's perfect, I know, but general knowledge of the game is a requirement).

I don't think I need to say this, but I've found myself reading applications that included "NQ staves", "working on X vital subjob for Y job", "my two PLD gearsets", "no NG and TR merits" etcetera. Look, I'm a very nice person but I don't want gimps in my Linkshell, as much as I know you'd "do your best to improve" and "you know what you're doing". No, just no. Learn to swim in the kids pool first and then try to jump into the ocean.

With that being said, I want to encourage those endgame veterans seeking a chance of pace in their career to look up our website. We do everything FFXI has to offer [Einherjar being a work in progress that will start very soon], we sell everything FFXI has to offer, we make lots of gil and have fun.

There you can see desperation, they lowered their standards by a lot, to the point of accepting people who meet the standards of the Gimp/Confused/WTF player thread in the Media section.

Come on, Rumi, we both know you want to pull your eyes out when you check your new members. They are nice people and very motivated, I'll give you that, but you can't deny what I'm saying.

I never said demo was a bad LS. In fact, the few weeks I was in "old" demo (Rizner's) I learned a lot and improved a lot myself, the LS was amazing; I even made three of my Bahamut friends move over cause demo was amazing.

I really don't want this to derail into a flame war, so let's just leave it here.


Oh, and if by "screwing more people" you mean not upgrading Ares's Cuirass for someone who was planning to sell his account when the LS bank had no gil in the first place, I will continue doing so.
