Help understanding DD dice rolls for DDO?
I started playing DD and DDO with a few friends and I'm having trouble understanding the dice rolls can someone like tutor me on them? Also weapon stuff like 1d8 I don't understand that kinda stuff either.

the whitest knight u' know
I didn't think there was anything to dice rolls other than representing "chance to ___" based on your appropriate stat vs comparable stat of your target/assailant.
Also, try to articulate your question a bit more substantially instead of "i don't understand the dice rolls i don't understand the stuff and some other stuff."

The Fucking Voice of Actually
Not sure about how DDO works, but with tabletop, you also need to specify which edition of the game you're playing.

1d8 just means "roll 1 eight-sided die". Often there is an addend tacked on at the end such as "1d8+4" which means you add 4 to the resulting roll of the d8.
Sometimes the first number changes too:
ex. 5d6 = roll 5 6-sided dice
ex. 8d10 = roll 8 10-sided dice
You always add up the rolls and then add on the number afterward if there is one.
