Anyone else yet considered exactly how we will get to the new zones? How do you think they'll link them to the current [S] zones? Through Batallia or through Ronfaure? I guess either way we'll get to see plenty of walrus' on the way there. Make sure to bring sacrifices.

Batallia Down [S] almost 100% positive. There is a gate which you can't open currently leading to the Lumberjack area.

I am actually excited about the new Campaign areas, and hopefully there will be some Maws within the new or...should I say old northlands. Besides, will there be new NPC units from each nation for free or northlands-dedicated duties?

The issue about NPCs is one to think about, but I have a gut feeling there will be no maws.

Oh, and I'd really laugh my ass off if you can't tele there. Novelty zones ftw. I know its probably asking a lot, but here's hoping SE doesn't make the new zones too painful to access.

I'm assuming right now, to get to Beaucedine Glacier [S], one would have to go through that gate in Batallia Downs [S]. And, to get to Xarcabard [S], one would have to go through Beaucedine Glacier [S].

Long. ass. run. Especially since Chocobos can't stand frigid weather, so Chocobos isn't going to be available.

I don't see any possible route coming from East Ronfaure [S] since Ranguemont Pass was and is the only currently known route to get to the Northlands area. And, they're only releasing Xarcabard [S] and Beaucedine [S] as the two "newest" areas to WotG zones.

Pendant Compass

* The compass is an equippable item for characters level 20 and above which, when used, will display one's current positional coordinates within a given area.
* This coordinate information may be used with the upcoming "Player Event Support" service. Detailed information will be made available via a special site for the service in the near future.

What's this all about? I don't understand, doesn't it already work like that without having the thing equipped? Or is it talking about LSmates being able to find eachother on the map?

The new avatar's probably gonna be the reward for the Shantotto expansion, so not only do you have to pay 10$, but you gotta go through 13 crowded item-collection quests and another bcnm against a stationary mob that can use Charmga.

It most certainly will be Batallia Downs [S], hence the reason why they're adding more mobs to the zone (For the walk from the gate to the zone).

Making the trip once through Battalia [S] will definitly be enough.

I just found it odd they went for connecting to East Ronfaure instead of West, and bypassed the Plateau, since I was pretty sure the Plateau had played a role in the war. Thought their might be a reason behind it. Then again we really don't see as much of the Tavnazian story being detailed as I expected either as of yet in the WoTG lines.


They could easily do a tunnel add that doesn't require an additional zone to access the northlands.


However, I imagine you're right, that it will be through Batallia. Just wanted to see what other people thought of it.
