    windows media player trouble...

so i mostly use pandora for music but i have stuff on my media player i want to listen to but, ever since i put vista on my new computer, sometimes when i play a song through windows media player it opens firefox and tells me a license is required to play this file.

these were songs xferred from my mp3 player to my library and it seems 2/3 of them "require a license" to play. the page that my browser opens has a button to click to download the license but when i click it, it says "Error: your netscape browser does not have microsoft windows media services plug-in installed". so i googled it and could not find what i was looking for.

has anyone else had this problem? should i just reinstall windows media player? or is there a way around this? thanks for the help. hope im not being real dumb about this.

When you install media player part of the setup asks you if you want it to look for licenses online. I've always clicked no and of course have never had it ask me about licenses.

IMHO, WMP sucks as a music player. Try winamp, or AIMP2 (my favorite).
