diff union = diff pool
and yea, just gotta wait till campaign die down before you can xpect to win something with your friends to share
atm its greedfest!
This could end well.
Wonder if certain mobs contribute the chance for particular items to drop. Like, maybe the 100's only drop from rare monsters (like Kaiser Behemoth) or hard to defeat ones like the Shadowhand or Shadowsoul groupings.
Well, right now, nothing is remotely "hard to beat."
Shadowhand died in under 2 minutes every time I've seen her since patch.
Honestly getting a little frustrating... campaign isn't so entertaining when every battle is over in 5 minutes and 95% of time is spent either waiting around watching for attacks or running to and fro.
where? what information exactly do they give you? i've never seen or heard of these before.
also, my hypothesis atm is that it's based solely on the number of qualifying participants in a campaign union that determine drop number and quality. this is purely conjecture at this point as correlation is not causation etc. but it seems that the number of people who lot on items for less than 10 items is roughly equal to the number of items in the pool. when i was in a union solo i got 1 item, when i was lotting against 3 people, 3 items. this tends to support my theory but i can extend that even further. i believe that the drops are tiered based on the number of people in the unit alone and i make that conjecture in light of the above 100 byne.
it seems that the khroma ores, o ingots, d lumbers, etc only seem to drop when there's a big union. let's examine a few possibilities:
1.) the longer the campaign the better the drops
well, based on the 100 byne shot earlier stating it was a short battle, i'd question that hypothesis.
2.) more points generated = better drops
i'm suspect of that b/c again, this was a short campaign but produced a whopper of a drop. i've been in longer campaigns where most people in a union probably got 1500 AN a head making for over 15k AN in my union alone and we got meh drops for the most part. it's possible we got unlucky, but let's put this as less likely for now.
3.) more bodies = better drops
well, if my above hypothesis proves true, it would be reasonable to expect this to be the case. moreover this makes logical sense. we would need a reason to join the bigger unions over the smaller ones where we have a better shot at a drop, so by enticing us with jackpot prizes like a 100 piece, this prevents the bigger unions from being the less desirable places to be.
again, this is all conjecture, hypothesis, and wild speculation. none of this has seen any more rigor than circumstantial evidence, but it's worth keeping in mind to try to generate evidence or conflicting data to get a better feel for the system.

You talk to them and ask for "Latest Campaign Intel"
The NPC usually responds with "So and So troops are staging an attack on (insert zone)" or something like that. They've been around for some time, and also gives you information on specific NPC movement for both the allied forces and the beastmen forces.
Where's Fridell, D44kpunk, and Drace?
Are we even sure thats a legit pic? Its clearly a cell phone pic, and the last cellphone pic to announce a new drop was the one showing peacock charm from Hakutaku.
Its not hard to fake a cellphone drop pic.
the jp who got the 100 byne looks excited about it and ppl /clapping him, i'm going to believe it!
