Yeah its all about positioning, if you put it where you can stand in a corner while facing its side you're good to go

This fight is easier with less people, like most high-level NMs.
We had a messy kill with about 7 people, 3 THFs, a MNK, a PLD/RDM, a SCH and two WHMs, and then about two hours later we trio'd with PLD, RDM, SAM. Very susceptible to Bind/Gravity so kiting makes it a snore.
we had no idea what to expect, first one on our server from what i know lol
I got resisted on grav when I cast with max gear.. how is it susceptible? I didn't actually try bind, which is kind of silly now that I think about it.
I was soloing it pretty much right here until more people came to play with it. Knockback does nothing if you get it right here on the ramp, can cast just fine and everything. I rested mp at this point since it wasn't attacking.
Spoiler: show
RDM+BLM, bind was never flat out resisted (though did have some duds), grav was resisted every time.

I was a little surprised at how easy these guys are, wish they were a bit harder lol but still fun to fight.

I pulled it down with SS and Phalanx(RDM sub) and it took a guy 5-6 hits to take my SS off. Pay no attention to my gear lol was just trying to put Koenig on for def and see how bad it's damage was.
TP moves seem to be:
Bloody Beak: Frontal cone, drains hp
Storm Wing: AoE knockback, damage, silence
Reaving Wind: AoE TP reset
And a flail move (forgot name) that was single target 1 shadow with his tail
Storm wing and Reaving Wind leave it with a windy aura that knocks back anyone within melee range for 30 secs, over and over again. Really annoying when that use that if you aren't against a wall lol
Is there even a point to them? The drops aren't used in any recipe I've seen...
I get the feeling Storm Wing is frontal cone as well. I was engaged on the sides when we got a shot at the Greater tonight and I was not hit by Storm Wing once. Granted, I was towards about 4-5 o'clock on the mob. I also have not seen the AOE knockback effect from Storm Wing, only Reaving Wind.
We engaged with 6 but were preoccupied with one of the new Demons at the time (the THF decided to go Dora the Explorer on us). PLD peeled onto the bastard while we finished off the demon. After that it was a learning round. People cannot be in front of this, no matter what. If you're tanking, tank on the hands. Same with DD. Treat it like Fafnir. You'll avoid Bloody Beak, and I don't know if Storm Wing will connect or not. We had 4-5 people standing in front initially, and while damage was not a problem, Bloody Beak took it right back to 100% from 75%.
Confirming Greater Amipteres, watching 2 rdms fight right now, tier III nuke did 2% dmg. They don't seem to have any problems enfeebling it though.
lets hope they change his roaming area.
It stuck around the npc teleporter person and kept picking off people for a good while.
Pictures remind me of this:

Ignore the Frodofanboi design. It was the first picture that had a good shot of the flying lizard nazgul dragon thing.
They seem more Yovra scale then calling them something like Cerberus scale, just to comment on previous..comments.
Duo'd NIN and DNC, piss easy. Could easily solo on NIN.
