Well Osode -> domaru is only -2 str. Better than the other slots
Osode & Alky = +22str
Osode & AF+1 hand = +17str (for those who do not like the -Dex on Alky)
Domaru & Hachiman Kote = +12str
Domaru +1 & Hachiman Kote +1 = +14str (this combi may cost a bomb ^^)
The loses can b quite significant to WS dmg. My personal opinon is that for 5 hits on Rindo, Usu Body and Usu Feet is required.
a little post update about my 16 stp 5 % ws dmg rindomaru 5 hit build
i have no problem doing sc with just meditate but to do self light with any sub it's about 50% with luck involve
but with /drg sub i can do self light 100% of the time
i enjoy busting 3.5k~4k every 2.5mins on exp mob but I am not allow to go DD to HNM event so i cannot comment on the dmg there.
P.S. I am poor have no Hagun but I still think Hagun will outdo Rindo easily, but the self light every 2.5mins is fun
update 1:
Just made 4 step light skillchain: start with 180 tp, sekkanoki, Gekko, Meditate, Yuki, jump, gekko, high jump, kasha
it's pretty fun
So I got a Tsukumo with decent +dmg and acc, and +9 water dmg, decided to accept it.
Been playing around with it... and the proc rate on the water dmg is like 15-20% tops...
WTF? Everyone else I've seen with + element dmg has been a really high proc rate, like 50-80%.
I r dun git it.

Was pleased with this bow from berg. Has the stats i want on it, just hoping to raise them now, ideally something like STR +4, RAtt +15-20, WSDmg +5%. This will do for now!
Yep i was there when we got it and all our group does in Grauberg S at the moment. To lazy to attempt other zones when grauberg is putting out good augments for everyone. Not sure if we got a screenshot of day / weather / moon etc though, but i assure you the axe was from Grauberg.
Okay thanks guess I'm just an unlucky bastard
Has there been elemental resists on these weapons before? I thought this was pretty interesting when someone posted it on alla.
grauberg is the only place i've ever tried.

(dont mind my gimp rdm equips, its pretty new)
Spoiler: show
edit: this was my last attempt on this axe too, IIRC. that's me running back to turn in a new axe... looking to get a high dmg axe as well.
Decided to try Katana hoping for Additional Effect: Flash for soloing. Ended up with this on my first attempt which I was happy with:

Edit: Grauberg
so, that'd fare better than mamushito+1s right?
So what would the bare minimum be for augments on a RNG bow for it to be on par with Ebow? (if anyone can answer before I look back through posts for answer :O)
Well all I really found was that 'The best possible Fay Gendawa beats Ebow', but that doesn't quite answer my question, so that stands
I wouldn't even think of swapping out my mamus for it for anything I'd solo. Nin needs sushi to solo vt+ stuff anyway (evas set destroys acc on hard stuff), subtle blow is easy to cap when you need to, and +1 stun rate is not that far off of 13%. Add in 11 dmg difference and yeah, no way as far as I'm concerned.
We tried the fight in Fort for a change. It's similar to the Grauberg fight but the NM is far bitchier. The 4 rafflesia slept fine and will do without e-seal but open with e-seal because you will get random resists.
Our best kiter for the Yag NM was a RDM/NIN for the Yag. Our Taru BLM Zio discovered at the end that you can exploit his pathing on the wall and play peekaboo with him once he's at one end of the wall by ducking from one side of the wall to the other. It will cause him to do the same. If we'd discovered this earlier we would have won.
This fight isn't BLM friendly really. Only some nukes landed on the adds and they were for 670-710. Did better with a resist set and with Blizz than anything else. Nukes and Dots seemed ok on the NM.
Be careful when dealing with the raffs to stay away from the Yag NM, his AoE is huge and the stun is a killer. Some of the party got caught by them and it messed us up.
Another fight where I wonder whether 2 RNG would win. The Raff were fine for the melee but the Boss spam is nasty.
Our most successful attempt (of 2) was RDM/NIN on the NM, BLM, BLM, WAR, WHM, SAM but as I said we got unlucky and ended up wiping on the NM. Dots landed ok, the other BLM tried a nuke before wiping and found it decent but not full damage.
I think it's perfectly beatable but as the guys were getting a bit twitchy the group headed back to Grauberg.
