    What is the point of this HNM buff? Does SE really want crappy LS's to drag it out until it rages, and then maybe 2 LS's on the whole server able to take it down? SE wants to...encourage this? Where's the fun in that? I mean, yeah, it'd be amusing to see people throw themselves at these things... But at what cost? I'd rather my mediocre ground gear not be /harder/ to obtain, thanks. Granted, this only happens if someone lets it rage, but you get a group that does that about once every other week or more. This is... just retarded.

    Instead, it should be more like: If it rages, it goes around hitting everyone for OVERNINETHOUSAAAAAANDcrushscouter damage, or does some sort of AoE effect that instantly wipes everyone in the alliance that has it claimed, then ignores people and doesn't unclaim until it regens to 100%.

    Incase you missed it above, someone already posted saying all this buff does is full rage faster once it hits rage time instead of gradually building. Rage is removed as it always has been, 1 tick idle removes rage.

    Uh, just being "idle" without any aggro for a split second will remove rage, no need to wait for it to regen lol

    personally i think they removed the "gradual rage" aspect to hnm mobs that have it. It was mentioned briefly earlier but yea, gonna go ssj right at the 20 min mark for jeuno hnms and 60 for kings etc.

    Was hoping to see this for certain at serket yesterday, damn guy got help and killed it in 19 min 31 sec :/ :/ :/ :/

    what does it mean when you say it's "raged"?

    Is it like, say campaign, when the NMs are running all over the place(and seemingly faster than usual) randomly attacking people?

    It's when the NM gets bored and decides to WTF pwn whoevers fighting it because they suck.

    mobs get increased stats (agi, dex, str, etc), haste, evasion, attack, defense, accuracy
    they basically get a lot harder if you hold them (claimed) too long and dont kill them.

    Basically this. They begin to hit harder (and all their TP moves get a large boost in potency), miss less, hit faster, their evasion gets a boost, all their stats increase, etc. etc. Basically every aspect of the HNM increases.

    Also, look here for a list of NMs that have officially been said to rage. ZNMs as well as many other higher level NMs can rage as well, however.

    Serket huh? fought that, and the Sandworm varient(inside that is). Thought that was only considered your basic NM ;o. So rage is basically HNMs in God mode.

    So just curious, its been confirmed the rage timers in regards to the NMs listed have not changed?

    My personal opinion is, 4 people shouldn't be at fafnir sleep holding for 20minutes until more people arrive but that's shared with many others. I would still like to know if they did in fact decrease the amount of time until full rage.

    Also, I have had alot of experience with kings / Jueno NMs and although with kings, it seemed the rage timers were pretty on point with wiki, the jeuno NMs never ever seemed to be 20 minute rage. In fact I'm 99.9% sure they were always 30 minute rage. I have seen NIN/DNC solo cassie/serket on many occasions and it usually takes 25-28 minutes. From a onlooking standpoint, there was no noticeable increase in the monsters accuracy, evasion, str,dex etc to suggest it was gradually raging either. I however was not engaged with them during these times so I can't say for certain.

    I assumed it was always a 30 minute timer before rage even started. Anyone else agree?

    So my questions are, has it been confirmed there is no decrease in time regarding kings? Also, is the rage timer for Jeuno NMs 20 minutes now or still 30 minutes? It's been said The "Gradual" part has been removed.

    In my opinion from experience with jeuno NMs, the gradual rage started @ 30minutes. I've never raged them personally, I'm just speaking from an observing standpoint. Can anyone confirm that the gradual rage started @ 20 minutes prior to the 7/20/09 update?

    I don't think 20 minutes is unreasonable for Jeuno NMs, but if they're going to be full rage by then, I'd say 40-45min is plenty of time for shells to down a Fafnir. Behemoth/Adman shouldnt take more than 5 minutes to kill...

    Just my 2 cents.

    hold a limbus card mob for 20 minutes while taking pictures. you'll find out very quickly what a raged mob can do. >< ow.

    Have you met king campers? They'll sit there for hours with nothing to do at all. Having a raged HNM to watch while you wait will only be an improvement for them. They'll be waiting there till the mob is dead, you can count on it.

    i'm kinda sad it's not this. the drama on the forums would be fun to watch, plus it would keep the botters busy for longer throwing themselves desperately against nid trying to DoT it to death.

    I have personally watched King Arthro and Simurgh rage at 20 minutes after claim. I have watched Capricious Cassie rage at 30 minutes. I have not seen any raged HNMs since maint (only one I attended after servers came up was King Arthro, and he was half dead by the time my "Play" button came up).

    Rage timers are not the solution to kings. The only way to get rid of king botting is to remove the need for botting by putting them into a BC or making them poppable. All rage timers do is discourage people from trying to hold an NM to move its window back, or keep players who shouldn't really be fighting the NM anyway from doing so.

    I know for a fact Simurgh rage's at 20%, I've raged it a few times while trying to trio and when it hit 20min mark didn't matter if it was 1% or 10 it was a beast. I've aslo seen him kill of groups who tried to hold him the instant he hits 20min mark, just used to wait a tic after he's yellow and he goes un-raged. I'm not sure if that is the case now.
