Yonin's 'Ninja Tool Expertise' broken?

Has any other ninja's reported seeing this? I never leveled NIN to 75 so I'm not sure how powerful this trait is supposed to be, but supposedly it's basically 100% with Yonin active.

Any truth to this? It's buzzing around the server now.

Did they have pics? Though knowing Alla they were angered by how good it was and decided it was clearly wrong of SE to make a powerful ability or anything and the GM is now going to tell everyone at SE that they made a mistake and they need to make it a 1% chance instead.

Speaking of Yonin I just did limbus using it the entire time and the Accuracy down doesn't seem to be too bad. The enmity increase is also really noticable. Those are of course Limbus mobs, but mobs like that are the main mobs ninja DD tanks anyway. Parse is broken so I just had to watch the log. :/

I regret to inform you that this is considered a "previously unreported bug" and a "most serious problem" according to GMs in-game. According to a GM on CaitSith, whom my husband called after being concerned about repercussions from using this ability, serious repercussions are indeed on the horizon for (and I quote) "anyone found to be unduly rewarded from this previously unreported bug. Please encourage any other players you know to report this as quickly as possible in order to avoid serious consequences."

People in my linkshell are currently reporting this as well, both to avoid fallout later (think "Salvage Duping Bans" possibilities...) and to get the official stance from GM's confirmed. I will update this post with verbatim quotes when I see them on my screen as well.

I'm guessing the rate it is supposed to be is starts at 100% then lowers as the timer ticks down.

Considering Koga Tekko is 30% ish, and the merits cap at 25%, then knowing thse JA are @ lvl 40, I'd say 10~15% is the "normal" rate.

That quote above was posted by an Alla admin that had some contact with a GM. Basically, after having that conversation, the incident was discussed and the ultimate conclusion was a warning should be thrown up in the General Forum so people would be aware.

I agree, it could just be a random GM following the rules to his own T and there may be no repercussions. But just in case, if there is some super beneficial thing that ninja tool spam allows you to do, you may want to refrain from doing it deliberately for personal gain.

Just looking out for fellow players in light of recent events.

Well it's a merit ability, but you can get it from a few pieces of gear and now this JA as well. Starts at 5% as a merit.
