    Fridell is the dumbest dude in Advanced atm. Anyone who believes gear rarity means anything more than spending more dollars and time doing stuff you don't like is in the same boat.

    Here is some real talk.

    If in FFXI you could get any piece of equipment you want at any time, it could only be a better game than it is now. If equipment(and merits and levels and whatever other types of grinding) was designed to be equal because of this little trait, the game(or any MMO like it) would be a worthy addition to its genre.
