Simple, own both Perdu & Tredecim. They are both "cheap", and every half serious DRK should own these 2. Tred is extra good for high buff situations, and easy to do 6-hit with, Perdu is good in general, especially for unmerited DRKs and in low buff situations.

Trying to decide on a AKD Headpiece for THF, and I'm torn on getting the Extra 10 Acc Vs. the +2 Crit Damage. WSACC+15 is a no-brainer.

Does any combination of AKD stack-up to Hecatomb Cap?

Also, any notable improvements to my gear? It's STR heavy, but only because I've been lazy forever and never bothred investing in Dex rings and the like.

Full Dagger/Triple Atk. Merits, popping pizza whenever possible & generally fight limbus/dynamis and a other mid-caliber mobs.

First you need WS Gorget/Love Torque, your second earring is going to be better off with DEX or Accuracy, Diabolos Earring is good but Hollow is ideal if it's an option, Enkidu's Mittens are a better multi hit WS piece than Hecatomb (5 Accuracy vs 3 STR), I'd change the STR Rings for DEX mainly for the Accuracy+5 from 10 total DEX.

Whoops, 10 acc and -3 DW reduction. I also already use a Soil/Thunder Gorget when appropriate. I also already have Ethereal, so I'd have to locate a Spinel Earring >.> or find a group for diabolos.

What about a kupo headpiece. Would any combination of it beat hecatomb cap?

For Limbus, Dynamis (city), Einherjar etc Heca is better, any harder then Acc+25 head is going to produce a higher average DE/EV.

It is better than either provided you can 6hit it without penalty (Rajas Ring basically). If there is any situation where the mob is SO harsh that Tred's critical bonus would pull ahead... you should be using Greatsword anyway.

It's more than an "acceptable alternative", it's quite a bit better than both of those.

Edit : yeah, as Raen pointed out, it's better assuming you have Rajas/Brutal. Otherwise, stick to Tred.

Depends what stp gear you have access to.

Skadi legs would pretty much mean you definitely should go the racc route.

Without legs you'd need to use cobra feet and enkidu legs for 5hit ebow.

Obow's a lot easier to gear for a 5hit, should just go with racc if you're an Obow user.

6hit without /sam is really easy, though. Both weapons make better trade offs.

For instance.. rajas(+5str -12racc) mekki(-10ratk) cobra feet(-10ratk) rose strap(-3str), enkidu(+2str -4racc or -5str). All of those seem kinda better to me than -10racc.

Made a mistake here where I typed as if enkidu had +5 str and not +4

The 2H adjustment happened while I was away, so Im not sure on exactly how DEX is handled now, just that it is different.
