So I know adv. march vs Mineut IV been done, showing march winning but recently been doing drg/mage burn for meriting lately, since most of my friends tend prefer doing drg/mage than drg/sam and one haste/healer[since it's dull]. Normally have multi brd/cor, Not really question but to make sure I am comparing it right to when only 1 brd since no hasso, or haste spell here, given 15~20% haste in gear and march 11%, so lower end drg going haste 26% > 35%[13.85% increase ws/DoT] and higher end 31% > 40%[15% increase ws/DoT] vs +66 att[415~437 before food/460~497 after], so assuming food 14% dot/ws/jump increase on low end, and 13% on high end, parse showed normally about 55tp/30ws/15jumps dmg break down drg mage, this need to reparse this only have two parse this avg between them for my dmg, so if I am not mistaken assuming this Mineut would be better in this case since 13~14 > 11.7725~12.75[13.85~15*.85.].
It's tough to do the comparison for varying range of hastes/foods. The benefit of Adv. March is obviously greater when players have more haste, and the benefit of Minuet is greater when players have larger atk%+ bonuses from food. I usually assume best gear possible w/o relic/mythic/speed belt/etc. For DRG it should look something like this:
Homam (9%) + Turban (5%) + Swift (4%) + Blitz (1%) = 19%
Haste (15%) + 500 skill V.March (11%) = 26%
Total w/o Adv. March = 45%
Adding Adv. March would increase your haste from 45% to 54% so to calculate the increase in TP speed/WS frequency you take your current delay (100 - 45 =) 55% and find out what % increase the extra 9% haste would be (9 / 55 =) 16.36%. So you'll need to get enough atk to increase your total damage output by 16.36% for Minuet to be more efficient.
For an entry level gear drg and brd:
dusk (5%) + turban (5%) + swift (4%) = 14%
haste (15%) + 481 skill V.March (10.74%) = 25.74%
Total w/o Adv. March = 39.74%
Difference is 39.74% -> 48.74% which is a 14.94% increase.
Apoc
Liberator
Stage 4 Scythe (forgot the name)
Perdu
Death +1/Moli
I would actually be happy with Bec De Faucon if I can ever get that. T T
About the same price as Liberator or cheaper?
Yeah it is, in both cases I divided by the 9% instead of end delay% / beginning delay %, recalculating results in:
Best Geared: 45% -> 54% = 19.6% increase
Entry Geared: 39.74% -> 48.74% = 17.6% increase
Both recalculations make the case for Adv. March even stronger under either circumstance.
Fuma vs. Enkidu feet for NIN (when not /drk)?
sub blu vs sub rdm for Cor QD (not solo).
Do you know if you can get way more agi with (smartly) equipping spells? Or not a significant amount more? Both can get MAB and you can still have Wild Carrot for curing.
Senj/Perdu Vs Senj/Shusui if you can get up to 11tp per round with S/S. Also What if you can't?
I came up with this for COR/BLU
Cursed Sphere
Sound Blast
Smite of Rage
Chaotic Eye
Foot Kick
Wild Carrot
Sheep Song
Healing Breeze
Soporific
Poison Breath
Cocoon
This uses up all the Blue Magic points, and fills all but 1 spell set slot. It gives +5 AGI, +2 MND, MAB, Auto-regen, and Clear Mind, with Cocoon thrown in at the end because I didn't have a better idea. You also get Curaga/Cure III.
The main problem I see with this is that Wild Carrot is party-only. For, say, Omega, my COR is in the BLM party, but I end up curing melee far more often than I cure BLMs. I think I'll stick with /RDM there. For something like Ouryu, /BLU could be pretty nice as BLMs are taking more damage (although then I can't cure the RNGs). It also looks to be easier to blow MP using /BLU, which is good when trying to trigger Uggy as /mage.
