MHead for stuff that you shield block.
VHelm for your mdb style fights, like JoL/Ouryu. Or when running away from Ixions TP moves.

So for Ixion... when face tanking: MHead. When moving: VHelm.

In the unlikely event I'm not required to go DRK/NIN for XP, Will DRK/SAM with a 6 hit (As far as I know with a 528 delay scythe Rajas + STP2 is enough) beat /WAR for damage? My understanding is it won't, is this correct?

/sam will win assuming the /war build isn't 6hit in damage and survivability. If you have Rajas, should be using a 501 Scythe to REALLY drive the advantage though ;x

in a zerg type setting, what is the better subjob for ranger, /war or /sam. I have ready things throughout various boards saying each one is better, with /sam giving an extra Slugwinder from meditate and /war giving more damage per WS/Barrage/EES to make up that difference.

I suppose it would depend on the length of the zerg. In a fight lasting 5-10minutes /sam might be preferable due to the ability to squeeze in an extra WS from meditate after your initial tp dump > barrage > ws > iwing > ws and then subsequent faster tp gain for more WS. /war seems preferable for things that would last under 2 minutes where the raw dmg of WS is what really matters and not the ability to squeeze in more ws'.

I'd only use /WAR with people I knew could tank worth a damn. Back when I still joined EXP pts I could tab through Firefox and read shit, but not with DRK. I tried that shit. Popped Berserk and started reading, then turned back and BAM I was dead. ;;

Really sucked too, but I grew to like /SAM 60+ instead of /WAR.

That's what happened to be also, I had no friend to EXP with when I leveled DRK, so I either made my own or joined others, I had to /NIN always. I was just saying that pre-seigan he should use WAR instead of /SAM, when possible of course, he can do the judge better then me when to use /NIN or not in PTs :D

Or is it simply because Leviathans Couse is fairly hard to get? Or perhaps everyone has just forgot about those Waking the Beast fights..

Enkidu. Even without considering the DEX, the ACC difference is too great for a BLU to neglect (10 ACC).

I asked this in the gear thread, but it's been like THREE WHOLE HOURS and had no response, so Ill ask it here:

Got blau/siricco for my thf, but am hesitant that this is better than Azoth/Blau. I dont have rajas/skadi legs (have sattva), so I only get 4.5 tp from Siricco, causing me to need an extra attack round to get to 100. Does this make Azoth/blau better? I just dont see 26/150 being better than 35/210 (AGI4 acc4) for just plain DoT and even TP rate. (And yes Im working on the X's BC if it ever puts out).
