I really don't mind this, the posibilities actually are kinda interesting! I've done everything in this game outside of killing PW (although, we tried before patches!) multiple times, this new way of adding stats (to items that are higher lvl) that could possibly make an older piece of gear better than something new is rather interesting. Or even adding new stats to new items, even more interesting!

If someone gets a Scorp. Harness +1 augmented to have stats close to an Usu body, well.. guess what, it's close, but not the same. Or Weskit vs Morri Robe, for Epeen nukes, Morrigan. But for resists, Weskit. It's always been the case for Weskit's vs Robe's, but now Weskit comes a bit closer for nuking in general if you're one of the lucky few that get's a +Int augment! Congrats to the people that get great augments on nice Hq gear (Haub+1's, Haguns, Kaiser shields, etc etc), you guys have more balls than I do lol.

But, as this is FF remember.. it's almost always been the same case, situational shit is situational, and an Augmented item that may amazing, is not worth the 11 pages of QQing in this thread.

They should be able to get the same items, it should just take them longer. You are still asseriting that getting perfect augments on an item takes 10 minutes or so, and that elite regimes can be done every 5 minutes, which are both very false.

If you do FoV for 3 hours a day, you can fight one elite regime every 2 days or so. If you do it 5 hours a day, you can fight one every day, and will statistically get the item twice as fast. I don't see how this is unfair to the player who plays more often, other than being luck based (which everything else in this game is).

Everyone cries about FFXI being a timesink. FoV is a timesink, but even if it wasn't, so what? Games should improve on their weaknesses, shouldn't they? There's plenty to do in this game as it is, I almost WISH some more of it would be obsolete.

okay, one more time: WHY do you care if someone puts in 1/10th the work you do and gets a similar reward? you're both paying to play this game, why should he get less access to content and gear for his money? his time is just as valuable as yours, just because you're more willing to put in the effort doens't mean anything beyond the fact that you're more devoted to a video game than the average person. why are you using that fact as a measure of your self-worth? you have to get over it, short and simple. grow up.
