Salvage = easy, usually takes a long time to get something good. Sometims people get lucky (outliers).

FoV = easy, usually takes a long time to get something good. Sometimes people get lucky (outliers).

Salvage = need 1-2 assault runs to afford permit. Assault runs = ~20 mins unless doing RVB, then it's like 5 mins. About 30-40 mins for assault, and 100 mins for the run. 2 hours a day to do salvage. Can do salvage once per day (back-to-back runs possible if you skip the day before, or go right before JP midnight)

FoV = need 4-5 regimes to get enough points. 1 regime per gameday = 4-5 hours per NM fight. Can fight the NM once per day (back-to-back runs possible if you go right before JP midnight and did another 4-5 hours of grinding beforehand)

Neither event is hard. The "FOV IS EASY" argument is silly because Salvage is easy too. A lot of people do all NMs physically possible + boss, every day, without any major issue, so it's obviously not a difficult event.

Not really, it'll be interesting to see the augments on haubys if they get haste or STP sux 4 u ebody. Can't think of any other update that made it so painfully easy to make every other piece of gear save a few (d ring, haute) so obsolete.

Also I'm sorry but you can't compare killing DC mobs and a soloable in 5mins reskinned aspi to LAC or any other salvage boss.

Hardly, bandwagoning zombies will usually choose the side that's going to meet with less resistance, not the side that's going to get bombarded with "u mad", "casual players r ppl 2" and "ur dum". Sad thing is this whole debate centers on something mostly hypothetical - if it does indeed turn out that getting something from FoV that equals or surpasses existing high-end gear is about as likely as hitting the Bonanza jackpot then no one will have anything to complain about, really.

I'm really glad FoV can occasionally toss out good augments.

Right now we have way too many Haubergeons, Scorpion Harnesses, and Dusk Gloves in the market.

They're crapping out anywhere.

On my server, Haubergeons are 140-150k.

It takes 5-6 haubergeons to match the price of 100 currency(Sandy currency).

So now 5 haubergeons = 100 currency(sandoria).

In the old days during inflation, a Haubergeon was worth 200 currency(Sandy currency).

I had used up all my points to lot on 100 currencies, sold them for 4-5 mil a pop, and gladly bought my Haubergeon for 10 million gil.

Now Haubergeon is worth only 140-150k, everyone wears it. It's a lolHaubergeon item now.

I want my 200 sandy currencies back!

Or I want the FoV system to raise the prices of Haubergeons and stuff so not everyone and their chocobo is wearing one.

tl;dr stuff like this always happens. It's MMO, things get easier, things determined by luck, people get screwed, people get lucky, etc.
