All BG members should be most concerned by our sudden inability to recognize gimps without looking at every single item they have equipped, just in case it has augments. When I see a Domaru SAM running around, what if his Domaru actually has DEX+8 and Accuracy+10 augments? What if that Ruby Ring he's TPing in has Accuracy+7? How are we supposed to make snap judgments now?

This is very distressing to me.

I know you are kidding, but I really am concerned that they will just use this to avoid designing new gear models. ZNM gear was completely recycled, they always recycle a few pieces here and there, and the last two updates haven't had much of anything in new gear designs besides the expansion gear (the designs for the Campaign bodies has been there since the expansion was released).

That depends on entirely if SE feels something like "You know, we paid too much attention to haste gear in ToAU... we should really stop neglecting Evasion and Magic Critical."

That's because they want some models to stand out as unique snowflakes that come from specific events and do not want to clone them. I'd love for SE to create a re-skinned Hofud model or Valkyrie's Fork, but I can see that SE wanted those models to be semi event specific.

Some people believe that SE is holding out on new models so that they can release completely new models for WoTG EG events if one exists. We just have to wait and see.

Its not so this or that. For me i am not angry, AND salvage feels like a job rather than a game (sometimes work is even fun, and i do still have fun in salvage).

To be honest, the reward for me is having matching gear sets that are also the best combination of gear for X job. I was in a weskit for way too long, and you bet your ass i dont care if they make weskit just as good as morrigan robe. I dont have to wear that god awful (in my opinion) looking body peice. I Have the full morrigan set and still outdo the FOV augmented weskit and whatever other gear you put together. I match, the gil was spent long ago and i dont even think about it any more. That, and i use morrigan on my rdm too as i dont have a dalmatica, AND i like the way it looks better.

As for usu, even if they made a super hauby or byrnie for my samurai, my pup still couldnt use, so id want it for pup anyway. Stop spitting at people that do an event you dont want to do or cant afford to do, just because theres a mindless alternative.

I think people really have this backwards. It's not that FoV is way too easy, it's that Salvage was just far too much a pain in the ass considering both fall victim to random number generator.

So... forgive a nooby question, but I've yet to augment anything. Does it make a difference which area you do it in? Like... does VoS have a different set of augments than Tu'lia, or are they the same? I've seen a lot of magey augments coming from VoS, wondering if there's a correlation.

Salvage is by far the best event in the game. Nothing else even comes close. I love it. I don't mind this FoV stuff because the gear from Salvage is still great and it is something I love doing.

With the addition of the new moogle expansion hat (+4INT +2MAB etc.) you can already match Morrigan's Set in damage by repping the coronal/cuffs/pigaches with Selenian/Zenith+1/Yigit. IF a Genie pops up augmented with +6 INT or a pair of Mahatma Slops with +2 or higher MAB (or +3 INT or higher if that's possible, who knows) then all of the Morrigan's gear would be beatable for max damage purposes.

No. If salvage was just a simple once a day event using tags, similiar to Assault, I would totally agree with you. Having to farm Assaults for AP, and then do Salvage runs, and then pray for drops, and then collect the items and gil to make them once they do finally drop is just too fucking much.

I like a challenge, but eventually 'challenging' becomes 'just fucking annoying'.

Uh

A) No one uses morrigan's pigaches for damage unless full set, and I'm fairly certain that it will either be impossible or next to impossible to get anything close to +10 MND on feet slot with augmented items.

B) Goliard hands are the only that come close to Morrigan's cuffs, Zenith has no m.acc whatsoever. Yes you are speaking purely damage, but even going by damage over time, and depending on your other gear, morrigan's will probably beat out even HQ zenith.

In general I think it's hilariously dumb how everyone in this thread things morrigan set is just worthless now, especially considering the vast majority of you are completely ignoring the "RDM" and "BLU" on the set jobs.
