    recommend me some PSP games?

I've recently come across a good deal on a PSP (slim 3001 model) and was wondering if anyone can recommend me some good games? I owned a PSP back when they first came out, but havent been following it since.

    However ive already picked up:

    Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
    God Of War
Resident Evil 1 (Purchased through PS3)
    FF7 (Purchased through PS3)

I run through games quickly, so if anyone can recommend me some good tactical games/RPGs that would be great.

what kind of deal did you get?

dunno what to recommend. i put a pre-order on a psp go cuz i had a $100 gift cert so i'd be interested to hear any recommendations as well.

i guess final fantasy dissidia is supposed to be a big deal.

This was answered a few pages ago:

I'm pretty partial to Brave Story but it takes a little while to get into. FFTactics is good, I've heard lots of good things about Jeanne D'Arc as well as Tales of Eternia.

Great list.. pretty much everything i was going to suggest is on there lol...
that Valkyrie profile looks pretty awesome.

also - since you said you have a ps3, Any PS1 game you pop into your PS3 system you can play remotely on your PSP ( as long as you have a wi-fi connection ) , i would also like to note that your save data ends up on the ps3, so when you get back home you can pick up where you left off on the big screen.

I got ff7 from PSN and installed it on my PS3. Can I also install it on my PSP or would I have to pay all over again?

yes, once you download a ps1 classic to your PS3 hard drive you can transfer it to your PSP as many times as you'd like (not sure if it's limited to just 1 psp or what)

You will NOT have to pay for it again.

Take your PSP and connect it to your PS3 via USB
On your PSP goto "USB Connection"
On your PS3 go over to Final Fantasy VII and press 'Triangle', then click on Copy.
It will then send FF7 over to your PSP memory card, make sure you have enough room.
I -think- you can only copy it to 5 different PSP or PS3 systems.

You can also go on your PSP and log onto the PSN with the -SAME- account that FF7 was purchased with, and re-download it for free also.

Now since the game is transferring to the PSP - the game is still on your PS3, however, your save files do not transfer, so you will have to start over again, unless you do remote play - then you will play off of the save file on the PS3, but then it is not saved to your PSP. So up to you on where you want your save file to be.

Some of the best PSP games ive played to date:

    Tales of Eternia
    God of War
    Force Commander
    Brave Story
    Valkyrie Profile
    Disgaea
    Metal Gear Portable Ops
    Jeanne D'arc

Recently ive been playing Crimson Gem Saga and its pretty good. Id recomend it. Some mediocore games would be the Valhalla Knights series, and GTA series. Kingdom of Paradise is good, but I didnt really feel like playing it again after I beat it.

would it be possible to transfer your save to a USB thumb drive in your ps3, then onto a PC, then onto your PSP from your PC via a usb cable? It'd be worth a try...

I was looking into getting the Dissidia PSP bundle soon, so this is a pretty good list. What does CSO stand for in some of the blocks though?

Just tried it with MGS for the hell of it, and it explicitly asks you to connect a PSP and use its USB-cable connection to make a copy.
(thanks Sony, my PSP is dead thanks to your weak launch hardware, didn't need a reminder of that >.> )

It probably encrypts the file on-the-fly with the registered PSP to prevent piracy being a joke to do.
(disregarding that it already is if your PSP is modded)

did you try with the full game, or the save file? I was more interested in trying to transfer save games between psp and ps3, I don't mind re-downloading/re-transferring the game. I have a feeling it can be done with USB cables/drives and a PC but I'm not sure how.

Bleh, should have read the post right.

Yeah, just tried, you can copy individual saves about to a usb stick, just not the virtual memory card in its entirety. Just not sure how you could take that and make it work with the PSP though since it has its own memory card manager thingy...

Hmm.... I'll try seeing what I can access on my memory stick when I plug my psp into my PC, I doubt it'll work though if the memory card manager thing is true :<

Lumines was a very addicting tetris-like puzzle game. I think thats the only game I really played on my psp, sold it about two years ago. I'm kicking myself now that all these RPG remakes are coming out, disgaea I II, star ocean I II, ARGG >.<

by the way, you can access the PS1 saves on your PSP by plugging it into your PS3 and going to Memory Card Utility on the ps3 menu. From there I'm assuming you can transfer the saves from the internal PS3 hard drive to a PS1 memory card via the memory card adapter. I'll try to see if it works the other way as well, from PS3 to PSP, in a bit.
