Yeah, those work too. If he is in Campaign, he can use that one bullet that gives STR+2 and DEX+2 as well. It's a pretty decent Campaign piece.

Hume. My satchet only gives 1 str. Been using Smart Grenade for a while. Wasn't sure if 2 acc from either tiphia or goblin cracker would be that much better vs the cost.

I will try to get joy and sea asap. As I've said my original intent with PLD was to pass CoP. Right now however my resources for both are limited unless I can find a new/better LS. A lot of people have vanished from the one I'm in and as far as finding a new one I really don't know where to look. Friends quit or left the server and as far as looking on the various Ramuh server forums around they are just dead outside a few hurr durr posts. I assume shouting "Can has endgame LS plsz" will either get me looked down on, into a shitty shell, or both.

Another concern was I didn't know if I should start looking now at 70 or wait til 75. I guess it couldn't hurt to look now, though as I said I don't really know where to look as far as this stuff goes on Ramuh. The only three I can name off the top of my head are Pixies, MonstersInc and Empire.

Iron Ram campaign gear is being worked towards, though will be a while because of ranking up.

What do you want from endgame?

Get some friends and low man limbus.
Use ACP/Campaign for body and other slots as well.

Salvage and limbus can be done with few people. Dynamis LSs are a dime a dozen.

Just find a good Einherjar LS, and low man the rest.

"end game" is kind of a moot point for the new age pld, as almost every slot has a similar or better alternative than kings provides.

What do you want from endgame?

The honest answer is: The experience.

Been playing off and on for 5 years now and I'm really wanting to do the "cool stuff" now. That's not to say I just wanna noob it up to get by with as little as possible. I always try to be the best I can be. That said I am completely new to this side of the game and that lack of experience is going to play against me I am sure.

I'll do what I can to get my feet wet where I can, but I am starting a bit blind.

Pld is one of the harder jobs to play endgame because a lot of the fight is riding on your performance. Even veteran players who level pld and have no experience with it endgame can struggle with certain things. If you end up tanking big bad NMs for your linkshell, I would keep in mind: positioning, hate tactics & JA/spell timers cycles (having shit up when it needs to be up).

Honestly about the whole bitchfest thing, I post a lot of noob stuff here too merely because I refuse to wade in the cesspool that is alla, I respect BG members' opinions more on the whole, and it's nice to have discussion with those same people about aspects of the job/situation in question. Like Kaeko said, oftentimes the question branches out and becomes an advanced discussion on related or semi-related topics, going above and beyond answering the OP's question. Not everyone can know everything, and sometimes research comes up short, especially when you want a perspective that might not be openly documented somewhere easy to find.

I just wouldn't post anything about pld here for fear Neo would eat me.

However, I would disagree that the guides I linked didnt answer the questions.

As for the OP:

Everyone said it, but just gear up DD the best of your ability and dont worry about "keeping hate" in an exp party 70+. Flash at start, use JAs to help spike hate and save your friends, and help the rdm or whm keep your buddies alive all while DDing your heart out.

There are lots of guides for leveling, and lots of sites dealing with endgame, but, there does seem to be a shortage of sites dealing with the transition from XP lvling to merits and endgame.

I'm just entering that transition zone. So there are a lot of questions I could ask to ease the transition. A set of general and job-specific guides talking about what you really need to get done from about 65 on would be good, e.g. how and where to cap skills, what to look for in an endgame LS, what endgame activities are a good fit for my first 75 main. How to get a CoP static where the pt leader doesn't dump the pt because a couple of people have major RL commitments for a few weeks? That sort of thing.
