Slammed by viruses - ffxiah.com

I just wanted to post this as a bit of a warning, I just went to ffxiah.com and my AVG popped up with like 40 viruses. watch out and becareful.

FFXIAH is pretty useless if you disable the scripts on it, so it really depends where the scripts are. If they're just off-site links to scripts, yeah, noscript/adblock/etc will protect you. But if they managed to get them on ffxiah.com somehow, you'd be just as screwed.

I've been using it and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but maybe Adblock stopped it prematurely, I'm not turning it off to find out.

Right, there is some bad shit on ffxiah.com that got through Firefox + AdBlock + NoScript. Trojan Horse VB.IQE definitely got onto my hard drive and I am still scanning to find if there was anything else that may have been worse.

Whatever it was disabled Search and Destroy and Firefox and I am currently determining if VB.IQE is what did that or whether it piggybacked in when I was forced to move to IE.

I strongly recommend everyone stay off that site for the time being. Currently scanning with today's version of AVG and I will post back if I come up with anything else.

Flashblock should be with your firefox set, its really amazing. i havnt had anything get through and i use ffxiah daily

This is definitely from ffxiah. Happened last week on one machine, happened today on another. Same symptoms both times and it was the only site in common. Plus, uh I kind of grew out of the random surfing shit like 15 years ago, been on the internet since I was a grad student back in 1994.

Obviously it's impossible for two different sites to have the same infectious ad? Or for them to infect other computers on your network after one is infected? Or even that you just forgot that you actually went to another site on both computers?

I use IE at work because Firefox is gimped for some reason and I can't seem to get flash plugins etc working on it here. If I visit infected sites on IE on this comp with my flashdrive in, then later put my flashdrive in my comp at home, is it even remotely possible that I could get some analogous cyber-STD thing goin and get my home comp infected?
