Legal underage stripping in Rhode Island

Kinda funny it's legal there to see a 16 year old strip but when a 15 year old sends a topless picture via cell phone to another 15-16 year old they can be charged with child pornography charges. Those men better not snap a photo or else they gonna get kiddy porn charges on them.

It's because the lawmakers were concerned with minor safety, not morality.

Someone could make the case that laws preventing discrimination are also more based on morality than in the safety of a person. Not everything needs to be based on the safety of an individual. The potential psychological damage done to a minor in this sort of environment and the inherent victimization are enough to make it obviously needing to be illegalized.

The legalized prostitution thing is actually quite well-known and has been for decades. As long as the act is not arranged, paid for or performed within public view it's legal. They want to ban it as well but, get this, the ACLU and SEIU have teamed up to fight the bill.

Good for them (the ACLU and SEIU). I wish more states would enact common sense legislation towards prostitution.
